  1. Past hour
  2. Ohio State played a garbage Tennessee team and a cold (and frankly overrated) Oregon team that they had already played in that “caution to the wind” run. The Texas vs Ohio State game last year was a good game and I expect this one to be too. I think Ohio State fans are underestimating the loss of Judkins and Henderson. Y’all are going from having two of the top 5 backs in the country, plus a running QB, to a “functionally athletic” QB and two RBs that will be lucky to be in the top 20.
  3. Texas wants Sayin to be like Quinn in that first half of the 1rst Georgia game… and we wanna play like Georgia defense that first half …Sayin deer in headlights!
  4. We’ve had a really great RSVP total so they’re adding the outdoor patio as well as the upstairs bar area. I’ll be doing the show from there on Friday afternoon. The owner said he opens at 3pm but he’ll have a bartender there a little earlier. There will be some beer specials, too. You can Uber or drive. One thing the owner warned about is ordering pizza. They don’t have a huge pizza oven so if they get too many pizza orders at the same time, the food could take a while.
  5. Relying on other teams to beat Ohio State is soft. Let me know when Texas is the reason you can point to to show how soft Ohio State is.
  6. Thats what I get for trusting CFB Nerds.
  7. That makes sense. I’ve been listening to the OTF podcast and they said the secondary should be more physical.
  8. I do what I can! 😂
  9. I think Trey Moore, Brad Spence, Anthony Hill will move freely in between on ball linebacker to off ball linebacker to confuse offenses. Michael Taaffe, Jelani McDonald, Derek Williams and Jaylon Guilbeau will be equally versatile in the secondary. I think having so many experienced guys cross trained is going to make the Texas defense far more unpredictable than in years past.
  10. 13-10 vs a team with no QB, while you’re at home, is soft, and 28-14 isn’t indicative of the game at all. It was 1 yard and a terrible fumble from 21-21.
  11. Incorrect. They return 3 out of the top 5 tacklers.
  12. I feel optimistic that the secondary will not take a step back from last year, and I actually think the front seven will be better and deeper. Jahdae Barron and Andrew Mukuba were great, heady players, but physically they each had their issues. Mukuba was a bit undersized, and Barron, despite his combine time, is limited in straight-line speed and could be beaten deep. Derek Williams, Jelani McDonald, and Kobe Black are bigger, more physical, and tough to move. The heart and head of the secondary is Taaffe — as long as he’s on the field, Texas will be in position to make plays.
  13. He’s honestly my biggest x-factor for OSU in this game on offense. I do think Texas using 2-high safeties in this game is designed to both hedge against Smith and also to minimize Klare’s explosiveness.
