Jamaal Charles ran 10.13 in the 100m in high school. Also, he only played one year at Texas, but Edorian McCullough won the state 100m title and ran 10.02. Both of those times are faster than Johnny Lam Jones’s fastest auto times (his sub-10 times were all hand timed and subsequently revised upward). I think it’s hard to argue against McCullough as the fastest Longhorn ever, with Charles and Jones as the next two.

He earned the nickname Superman in MS for what he was able to do on the football field, so there’s definitely a chance he sticks. I’ll see him in 10 days or so for their spring game.

We'll see. He seems to really like football. He's just a soph in HS, so who knows where this goes for him? In track, it's hard to reach the top, in football, he can be a star at all levels because NO ONE can match his speed in football!

I think we beat Ohio State but go 10-2 with losses to OU and LSU.

Definitely not shutting things down. He's having fun with the process. Everything he does, he tells Texas he's doing. So that's a positive. It's still a long way to signing day but he and his mom absolutely love Texas, love Chris Jackson, and everything he's done so far is everything he said he's going to do. Gerry reported this week he thinks Florida is actually more of a threat right now than LSU, but you know the Tigers are going to go full-court press through December.

Again played 25% of snaps in one loss. None in another loss. Committed no penalties and gave up no sacks in the other loss. Did not play versus Kentucky. Did not start versus MSU but played the 4th quarter. Maybe you might consider that Kansas picked him up in a week. The Kansas that has had an Olineman drafted 3 years running. Kansas.
