  1. Past hour
  2. I need to hear @Gerry Hamilton thoughts on this. He has been average at best. How does this warrant this big of an extension
  3. Think he'll have a bit of a different role once we're in the actual season and are done with scrimmages. But they're gonna get him the ball too. Definitely unorthodox for a 5-star OL, but he can help them win games that way. Gilmer went 4-7 last year which is the worst record I can find they've had in the MaxPreps era goes back to 2004 (can't see earlier season records), so I assume they're getting creative with Camara in this way because it's easy to assume the talent pool is down from what it's been. There's also very few players in 4A-DII that will be able to get him to the ground by himself. And Cedar Hill runs the ball with Jalen Brewster multiple times a game as well.
  4. I'll be in Longview next Thursday to see Gilmer at Pine Tree
  5. Idk why you expected anything different than "Out of their minds" from the Cactus Circus on twitter
  6. Think the defense had a few backups in on that play but Brentwood Academy has been one of the main prospect factories in Tennessee the last few years. They have a 4-star Tennessee LB commit that I'm pretty sure is the kid who ripped off DGG's helmet since he usually wears No. 10. Saw him at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio in January and he was pretty solid. Was a Bama commit that flipped to Tennessee this summer. Name is Kenneth Simon. His dad is former Tennessee and NFL LB Kevin Simon. They're pretty loaded though. Here's a look at their senior class.
  7. Its a scrimmage.
  8. With the “bust” and “wasted NIL” labels soon to follow. My personal favorite though is “recruited over” by the next 5-star (or in Flood’s case 4-star or maybe high 3-star) savior that has yet to play a down at UT. The desire for immediate success/gratification is the enemy of development for the vast majority of HS recruits.
  9. Jimmy Sexton strikes again.
  10. Getting him to flip would be Gouda. I know, that was cheesy. Sorry for the puns, I’ll show myself out.
  11. And it’s wild the average fan naive fan will see five stars beside his name and think he’ll come in ready to contribute right away. That kids going to be multiple years away before he is physically and mentally ready to even break into the two deep here.
  12. This sounds hilarious. I want to go watch a Gilmer game now.
  13. That's when the garage will be open. That's not when the team will move to practicing in the facility.
  14. Just keep on him until the final whistle.
  15. Today
  16. I mentioned this on the Recruiting Breakdown this week ... Georgia linebacker commit Joakim Gouda told OTF earlier this week that he continues to hear from Texas despite his commitment to the Bulldogs. He originally had a summer official visit locked in to Austin before committing to UGA and cancelling his other trips. So he has that OV in his back pocket if he decides to take a trip out here. I asked him if he planned to. "Possibly," he replied. Just keep it in your back pocket. There's been no indication that he's wavering on Georgia to this point. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/19308460/68d1d6ca8a61b935346c4b91
  17. Went to A&M my freshman year of college. It’s why I’m a Longhorn today
  18. We call that Friday
  19. I went and watched Gilmer’s scrimmage last night. What in the world are they doing having Camara play almost like a split end/slot/fullback position? Yeah he’s a big athletic kid but they got him trying to run down safety’s and corners to block? Absolutely out of position and doing that kid a huge disservice for his development in my opinion. They literally had him lining up out wide dumbest crap I’ve ever seen.
  20. Everything about that school is so cultist and weird to me. From the milkmen running around on the field to the yell practices.
  21. Justus Terry and Jonah Williams are in the same category/situation for me. Besides that I think Ryan Wingo really needs to be that guy, any time you have 2 studs at WR at any level of football you’re hard to stop, especially when you factor in Mosley as the stabilizer. I think a freshman linebacker will have to be a dude as the year wears on. Whether it’s Okpala or someone else, that room is just too thin to count on 3-4 guys all year long. Greffard up front for me. Texas needs 1-2 DTs to be stuffers on short yardage situations, goal line, or 4th downs. May sound obvious, but the biggest one of all is Arch Manning. Can’t do much if he has too many inconsistency on easy throws or starts the year slow. I’m not saying I think he will do that, but that is the biggest of all in my opinion.
  22. What exactly is gong on here? https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP871YTnH/
  23. What’s the competition level for Tennessee private schools like? Looks like DGG is almost maxed out size and playing some scrawny 150 lb DBs.
  24. Going to give Alan Lowry my vote. That Cotton Bowl win against Bama won me $5 back then that I didn't really have to spend - made the bet on emotion only, living in Bama country. I hope I will never forget it.
  25. From your lips to god's ears.. I believe so!
