OTF Premium 2025-26 Portal Tracker Thread

I’d agree with @TexasFanatic Dont think you need an all conference level guy at linebacker, but certainly not a developmental piece. Kentucky LB Landyn Watson fits what I would target right now. Just someone who can give you 10-20 quality snaps and could step in as a starter should someone go down. I’m looking for a David Gbenda level role to be filled at LB out of the portal. -
That’s worth paying non-premium NIL for. Not getting into a bidding war for

That’s……not how the site makes money, Joe. lol

You'd have to ban yourself first lol
-
Sweat murphy also had the luxury of playing in the big 12.

I love Watson and hope he’s back next year. He has a lot of upside

Make me mod and I’ll ban everyone and take all the smoke

I can’t believe it, but Yurachek outdid himself

These head to heads are like a fine wine. If the selection show would have been a couple of weeks down the road, who’s knows, maybe our head to heads against Oklahoma and A&M would have been considered more valuable. There are only 3 teams in the playoffs I’m scared of. -
I appreciate the effort Bobby but some of the experts on these threads can’t help themselves 🙄

Having 2 5th year seniors who stayed with you all 5 years is so rare. Alfred and Vernon feel like the last of a dying breed.
-
FWIW - over the next couple of months, I think it hurts Texas for people to be speaking negatively about current players on the roster. Let the coaching staff decide who they want to keep and who they don’t. Some opinions I’ve read in this thread are woefully uninformed and can only be used as fodder for opponents. That’s reality. I don’t mind due consideration and discussion. I do mind over the top stuff that is just blatantly untrue or entirely misinformed.

So true.

As an underclassman Broughton got put on skates more than any DT I’ve seen at Texas. He surprisingly cleaned that up by his final year and held the point of attack well. I’m sure Watson will too.

Yurachek makes Kamala's word salads seem almost coherent... -
The dude was a true sophomore. Your memories of those guys are in their 4th and 5th years. DTs get better with time. We’ll be better off if he has time to mature here.

I like Watson, think he has good upside, but I wouldn't overpay for him. We need some bigger bodies in the middle that can make plays. Feel like we were pushed around a lot in the middle this year. Hoping Sharma can take a big step forward, because he's got the size/talent you want in the middle. Would also expect J.Terry to take up a ton of snaps, January to keep improving and hoping Kanu comes back. Not sure what Johnson is going to do, don't recall seeing him much.

Exactly this. Watson was a HUGE step down from Sweat-Murphy-Collins-Broughton

I saw Maraad Watson get pushed like a blocking sled by double teams multiple times this season. Literally sliding on the ground backward. 4 solo tackles. If LSU wants him badly enough to outbid what should be a second tier NIL package (non elite player) from Texas, they can have him. I think we should be able to find an adequate replacement. LSU seems like they will have multiple freshman DTs that should be able to produce more, so I doubt they’d go gung-ho for Watson

You obviously pay attention. He played quite a bit, despite dealing with an injury much of season. Have you ever changed jobs?
