  1. Past hour
  2. Thanks for all the updates guys !
  3. Malik Muhammad will round out today’s availability.
  4. Winning a national championship is the goal, but Lefau said Texas is a team that’s focused on the process. Sark has compared it to climbing a mountain, and Lefau said they’re taking things one step at a time en route to the summit.
  5. Lefau says CJ Baxter is coming along well. The staff is doing a fine job of not rushing him back into action before he is 100% according to Lefau. But Lefau says he expects him to pick up where he left off.
  6. Even though the coaches are easing CJ Baxter back into the mix, “he’s picked up where he left off,” Lefau said.
  7. “There’s not a lot of tight ends who want to catch and run routes,” Lefau said Jack Endries. “He’s good at both.”
  8. Lefau said Brad Spence is a “physical, violent player.”
  9. “I’m thankful for Ty, because he pushes us every day. He brings the juice.” Lefau on Tyanthony Smith.
  10. Lefau says Trey Moore has adopted the playbook very well at linebacker. Says he has put in a ton of work off the practice field to get to where he needs to be before the season begins.
  11. Liona Lefau says “Wisner can talk (smack) but it brings the defense the juice” Says it brings another level of competitiveness to the defense and those head to head practice periods.
  12. Wisner said “it’s going to be crazy” when he and Baxter start attacking defenses as a 1-2 punch in the backfield.
  13. Just to right the wrong on a recent coffee and football podcast, Texas A&M most certainly was not ranked number one by the AP poll in 2012. We have to go back to the 1957 season when undefeated Texas A&M was ranked number one 10/28, 11/4 and 11/11. What happened to spoil this perfect season you might ask? A&M lost to Rice 7 to 6 and then lost to Texas the following week. They followed this with a loss to Tennessee in the bowl game. Typical Aggie. The only other time A&M was ranked #1 was in 1939. That was when some enterprising Aggies borrowed $50k from a bank in Dallas run by an Aggie and bought almost all of the top 50 players in Texas. I don’t remember the year, but probably 1937.
  14. This is my kind of update! All aboard the Arch train 🚂
  15. “It’s just a watch list at the end of the day,” Wisner said about being on the Doak Walker Award watch list. “Nothing is etched in stone.”
  16. Arch looks like a “mad man” says Wisner. He hs definitely stepped up and has tapped into every other position group this fall camp.
  17. NFL scouts from the Commanders, Broncos, Jaguars and Vikings were at Texas practice today.
  18. Wisner says Rickey Stewart has some freshman Wisner in him already. “He’s faster than me!”
  19. Wisner said he changed his eating habits to help him on the right kind of weight in the offseason. ”Eat like a champion,” is how he described his new eating habits.
  20. Wisner says the staff tells the team all the time that if “you are not a franchise player, you are going to be on special teams.” Says he wants to make the league any way possible. Whether it be running back or special teams, he is open to everything to help the team.
  21. Love the Manning approach. They value the development and the college experience (and don't need the quick payday).
  22. Tre Wisner is up. Says DJ Campbell is the guy they rely on to get the juice going and calls him the “nastiest” lineman.
