I am so glad Sark has welcomed Mack to the program...

Mack had to be begged to recruit Vince as a QB and he better be thanking Tim Brewster every day for getting Vince. He turned away multiple Heisman winning QBs. As pointed out he burned this program down from 2010 on with his lazy recruiting and exit. He crap talked the program and school to anyone who would listen, he actively encouraged commits to look elsewhere and players on the team to leave. We’re all thankful for the title VINCE delivered and we can all dislike Mack brown for how, why, and after circumstances he created the lead to him being essentially fired -
Thanks Blake! Not sure where you find those but it’s wildly entertaining.

A person crapping on Mack Brown tells me all I need to know about them as a fan. Unless you are 60 years old or more, Mack Brown is the only coach you could have ever watched win a national title for the University of Texas. -

The difference between Mack and Dabo is that Dabo had zero conference competition during the run he had of making it to the national title game. Also, CFP for Dabo. If Mack had the same level of conference competition as Dabo, he would have had about half a dozen more undefeated regular seasons and conference championships and that many national title appearances -

A coach who wins two conference championship over 15 years is not a great coach. -

His record at North Carolina is the winningest coach in UNC history. Maybe look things up before typing? -
Yawn, he took over a talented roster and won nothing for seven years. Lost to OU five in a row. Got blown out by OU four times. And when he left, it took a decade to get over the mess, he left behind. Yes, he won a national championship. I give him his due for that he deserves for that but he is just notch above Larry Coker, Gene Chizek, and Lloyd Carr other national championship coaches. He ain’t no Bill McCartney who built a program from the bottom to the top. He is no Dabo. Of course, he is not even in Stoops league. He is an average as coaches who landed at the right program at the right time. His record at North Carolina tells you about how good of coach he really is. In 35 seasons finished in the top ten six times. Stoops in 18 finished 11 times and 5 times in a row from 2000 to 2004. We don’t need him to be our ambassador. Sark is our ambassador.

Mack burned his bridge on his way out. No need to rebuild it for him. - Today

This is cool, there should be an overall ticket "exchange" thread. -

Yet his run is the standard we are still trying to get back to. Mack is the second greatest coach this program has ever had and brought us back to prominence. Completely changed the perception of the program and helped build the brand. If VY was the only reason then what was Colt? What was Corey Redding, DJ Johnson, Cedric Benson, Ricky coming back to win the Heisman, Shipley, Cosby...just to name a few that came because of Mack and still love him today and rave about him (RIP Cedric). I mean, the man did a lot for us and he is a great ambassador for the program even today. -

And he’s also the reason for a decade of winning. And the subsequent hires were the reason we went into mediocrity. The guys a Texas legend, other Texas legends acknowledge it, get over it. It’s old. His relationships also made us the most supported and richest university in the nation. That’s a fact -
All that matters is Sark’s shoe game. It’s elite.

I will quote LBJ on J Edgar Hoover. I would rather have him inside my tent pissing out than outside my tent pissing in. -
Fun fact you lost your mute streak

Never. Mack is the primary driver for a decade of mediocrity. He was a great recruiter who was regularly outcoached by Stoops, Leach, and Snyder. He just quit on his team last year and then tried to come back for personal stats despite knowing his time was up. Without Vince Young, Mack Brown is an afterthought. -
Here’s my week three edition of the most random college football facts I could find that pertain to the current state of CFB. The facts: - There are now only 55 undefeated teams remaining at the FBS level. - Mississippi State’s win over No. 12 Arizona State marked the first time they beat a ranked non-conference opponent since 1991. The team they beat was No. 12 ranked Texas. - USF Football is the 9th team in the history of college football to win games at FSU, Florida and Miami. Forty-two have tried. - Florida paid USF $500,000 to get upset on Saturday. Ouch. - After losing to Missouri over the weekend, Kansas is now 0-20 against KSU and Mizzou since 2009. (Bonus KU/Mizzou fact: Mizzou has the same number of Big 12 wins between 2008 and 2023 as Kansas, despite being in the SEC since 2013.) - Oregon State is the only team in the FBS to have scored a TD but not a conversion. No PATs, no successful 2 point conversions. - Only two FBS teams have yet to score a TD… Ball State and Charlotte. - After Saturday’s pick six against Cal Poly, Utah now has 22 straight years with one. That is the longest streak in the nation. - Washington scored so many touchdowns on Saturday, that they actually ran out of TD celebration fireworks. It marked the first time in ten seasons that the Huskies score 70+ points. - All four D1 teams from northern Louisiana played on Saturday. They lost by a combined score of 232-7. - The SEC set the AP poll record for most teams ranked from a single conference with 11 after the latest rankings.
