  1. Past hour
  2. There are some good 16s over the years and some have special stories, but James Street is a Longhorn Legend in both football and baseball, holding school records in each, and is my pick.
  3. In golf we take one swing at a time. When it's finished, THEN we have a score. Until then, nothing is accomplished. One step at a time, then AFTER it's all done, take stock in what you've done. If you get ahead of your skis, you will crash. HOOKEM
  4. Made me laugh when he mentioned Kiffin... "Lane sat in the corner by himself"
  5. LSU is one of the true wild cards for me this season. I picked them to face Texas in the SEC Championship because even though they need to show more on defense, their roster is insanely talented.
  6. I can't concede anything with this team. I don't think Julian Sayin, Gunnar Stockton, young Lagway or Marcel Reed should beat Texas with this defense and Arch Manning at the helm. I think accepting a guaranteed two loss regular season is lowering internal expectations as I think this years Texas team is further along in development towards a National Title than any of these teams. Don't let any of them off the hook and keep the foot on the gas!
  7. I appreciate Adonai Mitchell taking the time to make sure his shorthand autograph is legible.
  8. No, I want to win all of them. Can’t lose Jawja since they’ll very likely be off the schedule the next few years. 0-3 in living rooms is not ideal in recruiting. Losing to ou and aggy never feels good even with a NC. Ohio State… don’t want to lose to those cocky ass Yankees. I’ll take a trap game loss against Kentucky or something like that. FYI, we haven’t lost on the road when I’m in the house in a while (not counting neutral sites). And, I’m going to Ohio State, Florida and Kentucky. So there’s that. I expect to win the NC. I’m pretty sure the players do too.
  9. James Street...........end of discussion
  10. If it does become a problem, then one of two things will happen: One player will put on a random jersey with no name on the back (we see this sometimes in games on special teams where numbers double up) or one player's number will change.
  11. If Joe Tatum ever takes a snap, things are incredibly good or incredibly bad. You'd have to have four scholarship quarterbacks go down before Tatum playing would be a possibility.
  12. Street easily Thomas was an imo underrated piece of 2005. He was huge against Sarks Trojans. Loved me some Gunn as a kid.
  13. This question was posed to Rod, CJ and me on the livestream last night: If you were told Texas was guaranteed to split the following four games (at Ohio State, at Florida, at Georgia and vs. Texas A&M), would you take it right now? I'm assuming in this scenario that the Longhorns win the other eight games on the schedule. That means Texas is guaranteed to end the regular season with a 10-2 record. On one hand, a loss to Ohio State and one conference loss means Texas is likely headed to the SEC title game, probably as the No. 1 seed for the second year in a row. On the other hand, two conference losses, including one to the Aggies in the regular-season finale at home, mean the Longhorns would probably be sweating it out to see if they're in the 12-team CFP. Due to what a loss to Texas A&M would mean, I wouldn't take it. With that said, I've seen more than a few 9-3 predictions on the board, so I'm assuming there are members of the community who would sign up for 10 wins, regardless of which two games are the losses. So, would you take it?
  14. Omg....I am going to throw rotten fruit and vegetables at my TV every time you come on during coffee and football. That'll learn you.
  15. He was named a second teamer by The Athletic.
  16. Seems Ohio State fans have mixed feelings on the Boyer hire. That's for certain. Some think it will help, while others find it worrisome they felt the need to add him at the last second to help with defense.
  17. A venmo bet between friends is a bit different. As far as baseball HoF, not only should Pete Rose be in, but Barry Bonds as well. 😉 Haha, touche. I posted a thread awhile back mapping every Mateer throw against teams that were .500 or better. It tells a lot of his story, that's for sure. He was pretty dang bad on anything 20+ yards, but does a lot of good stuff too.
  18. Did anyone watch this last night?
  19. And, for what it’s worth, I don’t list all the options. Just a few to get discussion going. ill defer to Charlie strong on this one… The cake has been baked. The only thing left to do is put the icing on it and slice it. I let you guys do the slicing 😉 …But I can’t believe I forgot Street.
