  1. Past hour
  2. It doesn’t matter who calls the play if the QB can’t execute then a team is not going to win. We were 1 dimensional until the end of the 4th when OSU went to prevent and burn clock. They were daring Arch to throw.
  3. I truly believe Sark is a great play caller but he needs to give up the play calling. Ryan day had to come to that point and now it’s time for Sark to give it up and be the head coach. He trusted AJ and Kyle to come up with the game plan now let one of them call the plays.
  4. Are you talking about the very first easy pass that Sark set up for him that he skipped or the screen pass he skipped? Or are you talking about the strong run game that started out to take pressure off Arch?
  5. Don’t over due that run game. Ohio State wasn’t worried about Wisner. He was slow and hesitant.
  6. We looked like an 8-4 offense … can they get it together in the swamp @ Florida (and score with Lagway), beat a Venables defense, go on the road at Georgia, and not stub their toe along the way with the rest of the schedule? Idk. They CAN. But will they? Receivers left a lot to be desired today, and that’s accounting for arch mishaps
  7. Seems Sark was holding plays, like cards to close to the vest. First game of the season, Texas will be fine. Really, like this team, just clean up stuff. Very vanila play calling, that is expected first game.
  8. Gameplan was lackluster and it looked like Arch was uncomfortable and not going thru his reads efficiently.
  9. Good stuff Gerry. No fluff, says it the way it is. I didn’t expect a prime time Arch but I did think I would see a competent one. It was borderline unwatchable at times. So disappointing after being in the system three years and the hype he was playing well in camp. I thought the gameplan wasn’t good. I’m surprised they never went empty just to simplify reads and clear the field up. It also would have gotten the ball out quickly. Arch never got in a rhythm. Today blindsided me. Nothing what I expected at all. Texas had every chance to win and blew a golden opportunity because the defense/punter are elite.
  10. Couldn't let San Jose State see our entire playbook now could we??
  11. Aside from previous mentioned areas, poor play calling etc, my question falls to the defensive side. Why with all of the talent are they not dialing up blitzes. There was next to no pressure on Sayin the entire game. Poor discipline has proved to be a year over year issue as well with presnap penalties. Kids played hard, but they sure werent ready.
  12. When he’s not playing Michigan, he’s the second best HC in the game behind Kirby.
  13. Two great teams went to battle today. I thought both showed class and respect toward each other. We are likely to see them again. Ryan Day is a better coach than I imagined. Seems like a humble dude too.
  14. Couldn’t have said it better myself. I expect better and we will be better. But Sarks game planning has to be a lot more aggressive than what we saw today.
  15. Gus Malzahn’s motion is killing Bama right now. Where was our motion and quick throws to the RBs and WRs?
  16. Thanks, meant more so maybe it happened during game? I think one of the OTF peeps (Amanda) said they heard he had a shoulder. Appreciate it.
  17. We dominated them yet lost. We were too sporadic in the first half. We missed the receiver from the transfer portal. The receiving group needs to step up and find ways to get open. Endries looked good. Tre and CJ ran hard. The O-line was good except for the penalties. Arch will get better. He's a gamer. Just a real tough place to win a game. But we had it.
  18. Again, I was making a point about what is and what will be said about Texas nationally. I didn't say that I believe it or that I agree with the opinion of others who don't follow Texas daily.
  19. Signed Ed Orgeron. Sark needs to figure out how to beat great teams. 1-6 vs top 5, 3-8 vs top 10 teams, 4-12 vs top 15 teams. If he’s waiting on a unicorn to consistently beat great teams, we’ve got a problem most don’t want to admit.
  20. I remember when he was warming up he seemed to wince a little after a throw. I didn’t try to over think it but it would explain some of his clunky throws.
  21. Four failed fourth downs and only one score for the pre season #1 team is at least an offensive face plant imo.
  22. It was a one-score game for the vast majority of the game and the final score was 14-7.
  23. So reminiscent of Mack before VY. The talent to beat most teams but an inability to galvanize that talent to get the most out of them against the best teams. It took a QB from Madison HS to do that for Mack. Arch needs to step TF up and do it for Sark.
