  1. Past hour
  2. Newman was leaner and quicker than I expected. Melvin Siani is probably the true backup left tackle if something happened to Goosby in a game, or if he weren't available. Time will tell with Coleman, but multiple OTF sources were high on him coming out of bowl practices and throughout conditioning leading up to spring practice.
  3. I think offensive line fundamentals are lacking at the lower levels of football. Nobody does sled work anymore other than the Crowther sled. I stopped seeing chutes on practice fields about a decade ago. The quality of line play across the board has been declining slowly over the last 10-15 years, IMO.
  4. I want him badly at Texas! 🏈🀘🏻🏈🀘🏼🏈🀘🏈🀘🏽🏈🀘🏾🏈🀘🏿🏈
  5. Talented kid. Really starting to rise nationally in his recruitment. physically has plenty to grow
  6. Today
  7. @Joe Zura still waiting for the dk moore flip
  8. Big X Tha Plug, WR prospect.
  9. You’re not wrong. No update has been given and I don’t suspect we’ll know anything until Texas puts something out
  10. Staying out west is my expectation
  11. Schloss spent a lot of time in the offseason getting this team to come together. I've seen clips of the team hanging out at the lake, bowling, etc. All that work in the offseason clearly shows in my opinion.
  12. Not looking good for us going to usc or Oregon? @CJ Vogel@Hank South what you think?
  13. Even football has level and they will always come first. Texas pays in football but is typically not the highest offer. I can see Swain coming back because of his relationship ship with Coach Miller, but turn down first round money? Louisville got the Xavier guard at two million last year if I am remembering correctly. And the prices keep going up. Say you pay a shooting guard with length two million plus. You still have to pay Matas, Swain and Goosby. Once you do that you still need a power forward that can face the basket. Need a veteran guard that preferably gets into the lane and make shots. Man it’s sounding like we may need Wilcher and ughhhgg Heide to come back at reduced prices. So hard to build a team these days.
  14. Yes he is expected to announce.
  15. What about the wku guard yo. Strange it's taking so long. MasterKey to O line imho
  16. Great article, Jeff. To further your point, Jonte Newman was listed at 275 lbs as a recruit but was listed on A&M's roster last year as a true freshman at 331 lbs. He is now listed on our roster at 302 lbs and looked good in the pictures I saw from yesterday's practice. I liked him (and his teammate Ryan Fodje) during the recruiting process. Even though he is a little shorter at 6'4", he has great length and moves really well. I hope he can make an impact for us at OT at some point. As I posted before, I am really interested to see how Jordan Coleman looks this spring. He has great height, length, and strength, but did not move as well as some others in his HS film. He has clearly dropped some bad weight (and added some good weight since he is still 354 lbs) based on the pictures I saw from yesterday. I am interested to see how he is moving now and whether he can stay at OT or needs to be moved inside to OG.
  17. @Hank South is honor falvue announcing this weekend there rumors on that?
  18. Could be Kasi Currie.
  19. Texas has money, but there are levels to it. Texas doesn't have close to what tier 1's have. Just reality. Matas will be double to be here year two. "IF" Swain were to come back, he would be dang near double. Goosby wasn't cheap out of HS (even though he turned down double+ from BYU and double from Duke) In a scenario Swain came back (which I am not predicting), that's A LOT tied up by potentially your three best players. 55-60% I think that's the main difference in tier 1 NIL programs ... that's 33'ish%.
  20. New 2027 IOL offer Keyon Hemphill-Woods (6-3, 280) of Columbus High (Texas) tells OTF he has not locked in his OV to Texas. The plan is to have one locked in by the end of the week. June 12-14 looks likely. He currently has Cal June 5-7, and Auburn June 19-21. http://www.hudl.com/v/2TQg4e
  21. Texas knows Georgia in front headed into the visit. See if they can make up ground
