  1. Past hour
  2. has it been that empty for other schools?
  3. @Gerry Hamilton has a beverage in hand, he’s sitting in front of Brent Venables and he has access to a live microphone. Stay tuned!
  4. Q. We all talk about rivalries. What's the one you guys have with Texas, how does that feel? ROBERT SPEARS-JENNINGS: That's rivalry is probably the biggest rivalry in college football, I feel like, because it's the only rivalry that you're at a neutral site every year same weekend. One team will have at the 50-yard line burnt orange and the other one is crimson red, I feel that's probably the hardest thing.
  5. Play baby got back when Elko waddles up and we’re even
  6. Venables on losing two of the last three Red River Shootouts: “We’ll get back on track and we look forward to the opportunity. Two years ago was reflective of the type of game that it should be and will be moving forward."
  7. I thought it was intentional to show our little brothers that we still own them. Especially after last year’s one more beat down. Because they knew we would not be ready to play them in their house w/ their 12th man and all. But that would have been pretty cold… OBTW - Texas currently leads the series 77–37–5 I can rest easy knowing tamu will never ever lead the series while I am alive. Hook’em!
  8. The mic is not Venables strong suit.
  9. Did anyone ask slime ball Libby if he has any CAB shirts for sale?
  10. Brent Venables: "This is a team I love to be in the building with every day and I believe they have the ability it takes to claw back to where I believe Oklahoma belongs."
  11. Venables: "We've had a lot of changes since January... Between portal, recruiting, new coaches, new offense, new GM structure. But we've also had tremendous retention."
  12. Spears-Jennings said Jaydn Ott has "a good little burst to him." OU is looking to get the 2023 version of Ott this season (1,315 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns for Cal).
  13. "That rivalry is probably the biggest rivalry in college football." — Robert Spears-Jennings on the Texas-OU rivalry
  14. DJ Lagway on his faith: I definitely say faith is a huge part of my life. Having God as the foundation has been wonderful, because, as you said, there's a lot of ups and downs on the football field, even in life, but having that foundation to keep me strong is beneficial."
  15. If every time they play that auditory vomit we get two 5 star recruits, them let them play it.
  16. Gerry and I are listening to Oklahoma's Robert Spears-Jennings. He said Brent Venables is "one of the greatest defensive coaches ever." Venables decided to call the defense for OU in 2025 (even though defense wasn't their problem last season).
  17. Sark was likely dialed in as he should be. Not sure if he noticed.
  18. I wouldn't normally post this, but I found it wild. Played through a freshman year Road to Glory and after Arch won the natty while I took a redshirt year, in the off-season, Sark left for Michigan, and lane kidfin became the coach. Wow. Go home EA, you are drunk!

  19. The difference here is that Sankey was not happy about the appearance of some kind of disrespect toward member institutions. Even if it was unintentional. Yormark, commissioner of the BigXII, was actively throwing gas on the fire for disrespectful conduct. Rivalries and college sports fans are going to needle each other. It's part of the fabric. But the conference should be neutral, and that's what Sankey's comments address.
  20. Today
  21. Lagway on his shoulder: "I don't have a prosthetic arm, I am just going to let y'all know that (laughing)... But I am feeling great. Training has been amazing. I am actually getting better at just thinking about getting back to throwing the ball. I have been working on my mechanics that is going to help my mechanics this year and my decision making. I am just excited about getting out there with the guys for that first week."
  22. Mack Brown really only recruited Texas. Schools used to negative recruit Texas with out of state prospects, saying that they wouldn’t be favored. 2006 class - Texas 20, Colorado 1, SC 1 2007 - Texas 23, California 1 2008 - Texas 19, Colorado 1 2009 - Texas 19, Arkansas 1 2010 - Texas 22, Louisiana 1, Ohio 1, Oklahoma 1
