  1. Past hour
  2. One of the national analysts (I forget which one) actually called him this afternoon and surprisingly he picked up. The only schools he mentioned were Oregon and USC.
  3. One awful game from the center and left guard cost us the playoffs this year
  4. Brooks needs to be at OT full time and Stroh needs to be at UTSA.
  5. As I recall Texas was in the top 10 prior to the UGA loss. I'm pretty sure that the UF loss was on their CFP record at that point! Don't couldn't look at my grandkids & tell them the importance of achievement & integrity making comments like the committee throws out.
  6. Stroh’s lateral movement in pass protection just isn’t what it needs to be for this level. Unless he’s going north and south in the run game i wouldn’t want him on the field.
  7. I am a broken record on this topic but I strongly believe we are headed towards the Big 10 recommendation for 24 teams in the CFP where round 1 puts seeds 9-16 as hosts to seeds 17-24. Winners play round two away at 1-8 seeds. There will still be debate on seeding but far less potential for debating inclusion in the CFP. It has become the end all be all goal to achieve/. Conference Championship games eliminated. December becomes a month of college football playoffs to go from 24 down to 8 teams by 12/31 - 1/1 quarterfinals. jmho. Hook em!! 🤘🏼🐂🧡
  8. Stroh just isnt good enough
  9. I wasn't proposing separation. I meant the Big Ten and SEC will essentially dictate to the CFP what's happening regarding the expansion of the field, the selection process, etc.
  10. Not related at all but can the SEC please get better refs next year, I have never seen a team get hosed two times in a year by two dumb choices and logic in replays😭
  11. Question on your last statement, say the two conferences do come together, how long can the NCAA put it off in court? I’d assume the other conferences would try to prevent the big boys from separating or am i wrong?
  12. The Big 10 and SEC absolutely need to come together over the offseason and put an end to this BS. The ACC, B12 and Notre dame, along with the G5 can establish their own postseason. I will never believe ND deserves an auto bid until they join a conference. When’s the last time they were competitive in a championship game ? Ohio st killed them, as did Alabama years ago. Anyways, Nick Saban needs to head a committee made up of retired coaches to decide the best teams. Why are we putting this in the hands of athletic directors who just scoreboard watch ?
  13. Good points, Texas has 3 losses, 1 worse than others puts them behind teams that don’t have 3 losses. Bama probably thought same thing last year. Good fuel to take care of Biz next year
  14. We need 2 OGs in the portal. Brooks a backup at OT. Kibble some reps in the spring and fall to see if he can be in the rotation at OG. Can Cruz be a backup C that can play if Roberson goes down?
  15. Brooks needs to be groomed to take over for Goosby or Baker and we need new SEC quality portal starters at LG, C and RG. Think DT the past two offseasons. We need war daddy’s if we want to go into this Ohio State game in austin in 9 months with a chance to get that monkey off our back.
  16. I don’t believe that combo will be your guards in 2026 one bit. Brooks will stick around, based off what I’m hearing. But portal help is the expectation at guard.
  17. I know how everyone on this board feels about Mike Elko, but he's 100 percent right on this topic. All we want is clarity and we're not getting it from the committee:
  18. I didn’t even read this damn playoff post just came because it was yet another 🤬🤬🤬😭😭😭
  19. Is it me or does 6-7 guys playing guard seem kind of tall? I just think you need a more low center of gravity guy, 6-3 to 6-4, maybe 6-5 max, 330# wide body road grader. Yes 6-7 guys with long arms all day at tackles.
  20. They need to hire a HC first lol.
  21. Sure, but I still think based on what those in the know have said, he would much rather head back to Georgia than further away to Texas. Money might talk, but you can't buy everyone.
  22. In all seriousness, I wrote most of this this morning. Last night's rankings were when the country threw up its hands and decided that the CFP selection committee had completely missed the mark. Whenever the Big Ten and SEC decide they've played nice for long enough, everyone outside of those two leagues can blame the committee for mucking up the process so badly that it had to be changed.
  23. Look as much as we like to clown on Brian Kelly, he would actually suit Penn state. He's from that general area of the country, can recruit and won't have to fake a southern accent. Plus he's still a good coach, can give you winning seasons, etc. That's just my take, who else are they going to hire? They'd have to take a chance on a guy and I'm not sure they really want to do that.
  24. It’s a smart move. If they think he can have a similar type of immediate impact to Jeremiah Smith or Cam Coleman, they might get a huge ROI paying him Terry money compared with paying a Coleman type portal player $3M+.
