  2. Exactly why Texas under CDC needs to challenge the NCAA and the Committee for gross incompetence for its initial rankings. It was performed on a fan basis as opposed to a due analysis basis. They prioritized absolute loss number number over head to head and strength if schedule numbers. If the NCAA is allowed to penalize programs for seeking competitive schedules, the the decline of NCAA viewers is guaranteed. No one wants to spend 3 hours watching any SEC team beating up on Samford level teams. CDC needs to take the bit in his teeth and demand answers from the Committee based on the facts. If he dies not get them straight up or a correction in seeding, sure the NCAA and ask for an injunction to suspend the playoffs. That will get their attention. And the NCAA will always fold!! Carpe Diem!! 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
  3. Part of that paycheck is going full politician mode, I am sure this falls in the unglamorous part of being a head coach lol
  4. I’m not disagreeing if there will be attrition but it still begs the question regarding that class on evals and development. A lot of money frozen on the sideline.
  5. I don’t think one game is evidence. Yes FSU looked bad but you can’t speculate that they would be destroyed in the playoffs. Oregon looked good last year until they played OSU. FSU may or may not have won a playoff game. Ole Miss is losing their offensive identity. Pete Golding has never been a head coach. While Ole Miss has dudes can Pete Golding manage the game to win? Doesn’t matter if you have dudes if you don’t have the right coach look what happens. Look at Franklin can’t win the big game even with all the dudes he had. just saying Ole Miss is not the same team without Kiffin. Doesn’t mean Ole Miss can’t win but the dynamics does change a little.
  6. Mosley has excellent hands

  8. Mosley has excellent hands
  9. Mosley is our #1 WR after overcoming injuries
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R22Yw83OUbo Five top 10 ranked opponents played 6-1 2nd half of season. Four of those teams ranked in top 10 and 3-1 in those games. Didn’t play at home for 42 straight days 3-2 against top 10 with only losses to Georgia and Ohio St on road and outgained OSU by 150+ yards with chance to tie or win at end of game. Teams in front of Texas that haven’t played any top 10 teams. Is this about what your record is or your quality? Dig at Miami for throwing fade TD at end of game for style points Is committee watching games? What are they doing differently then the AP if they just look at the loss column? If they’re only looking at losses then no reason to schedule difficult non-conference games.
  11. I still think they'd throw Alabama in, atleast in the past they viewed the conference championship game as extra credit and aren't gonna ding them very hard. Then, again if they don't view the Ohio State game as extra credit ADs everywhere are gonna reevaluate those big OOC games.
  12. Cam Coleman is that . He would technically be redundant. Marsh is a good player and I think on Par with Wingo. Wingo doesn’t play big.
  13. This is the problem I had when DeBoer took the job in Tuscaloosa - and it is frankly the problem I have when any HC at a program capable of winning a national championship leaves for another program (cough, Brian Kelly, Lane Kiffin). Was he that desperate to avoid the W/L stain of a post-Penix Washington Huskies program? With Kiffin in particular, how can he now say that winning a national championship is important to him? He had a team this year that is as capable as any this season, a down year for college football.
  14. Mosely and really Wingo/Livingstone too all 6"3 big targets with decent hands.

  16. Don’t need 2 redundant receivers. Pass on Marsh. Need a speed demon.
  17. I think they will be more competitive than 2023 FSU with a backup QB. That team would have gotten curb stomped. As Bobby Bowden once said, it’s more about the Jimmies and the Joes. Ole Miss may be deficient in the X’s and O’s. But they still have the same Jimmies and Joes, and I’m sure they will be competitive. But again, bottom line all we have is conjecture. In 2023 we literally had evidence FSU didn’t look good and could barely move the ball against a mediocre Louisville team. It would have been much more controversial if FSU’s QB went down late in that Louisville game after a resounding win and we didn’t get the on field evidence of the dip in play
  18. Staff here said they expect big adds and some attrition at WR. CJ said to watch for Ffrench Our WRs are good but we likely need a true number 1
  19. Unless we’re expecting another year of zero contribution from this year’s Freshman I don’t see spending on WR unless it was someone special that gave us something we didn’t have. Taking a high dollar WR would beg the question what the hell happened with the last WR class? Poor evaluation, poor development or both?
  20. figured since Fawcett announced it, it's true.
  21. Gerry has aid that the staff really likes Cruz, but he may need another year to develop. He will most likely compete for the job next year though
  22. Yes the QB true freshman played poorly but they still won. You think Ole Miss is the same team without Kiffin?
  23. The difference between Ole Miss and FSU is that FSU played a game without their QB and PROVED they were not as good without him. Right now, it’s purely an assumption that Ole Miss is worse without Kiffin. However valid that assumption may seem or prove, it’s still purely an assumption. Which is materially different than the FSU case
  24. I would like to see what the Bama fan base would do if Georgia beats Bama by two scores and Bama gets left out of the playoffs.
  25. This is an interesting one. Dude is top 10 in FBS solo tackles this season (61). Eck and Lampron are good options for a one-year SR LB but they have to enter. I'm curious to see if Chambliss enters from SDSU. RS Jr. from Cali that started at Utah (played 4 games) then went to SDSU. 6'3 230lb 106 tackles (61 solo) 9.5 TFL 4 sacks. That's a big WR right there. Didn't take long for a good one to hop in.
