  1. Wnen we come to Austin to visit: my bro in Buda, my daughter up near Domain, my son way out 71/Sweetwater. Scattered. Bro is only around a few weeks ago year - mainly in home in Costa Rica.
  2. Miller loses left arm in car accident
  3. Sorsby continues to lose as the NFL announced there'll be no supplemental draft in 2026. He's caught in football limbo/purgatory. Wonder if he can get a job at Home Depot, Dick's, Walmart or McD's? Does he have a college degree? Or as a QB coach at TT, where he is so very much loved? My wife said, "he cooked his goose."
  4. If UT vs OU can't have their annual October football clash called Red River SHOOTOUT, how does Texas Panhandle Sand Aggies get away with this?
  5. Has Texas had a better sports week than 5/31 thru 6/6??? Probably not. Sun 5/31 Texas Rowing wins Natl Championship AND Texas Baseball sweeps Austin Regional. Thur 6/4 Texas Men's Golf ties for 3rd in Natl Championships AND Texas Softball sweeps Texas Tech for National Championship. Sat 6/6 Texas wins first game against Oregon in the Austin Super Regional. One more win puts them in their 39th (Thirty-Ninth!!!) CWS. And I don't know where we stand in outdoor track & field. Just a GREAT week.
  6. Did Texas activate a new secret NIL fund (the Anti-Cody Fund) to help sign TT SS Linkin Garcia yesterday?? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  7. Playing Texas Sep 5 doesn't resolve the situation Sark was referring to. Sark said the in-state DI schools not in the SEC had soft conference schedules yet winning conf title gave them AQ route to CFP. We all know that statement is true. First, Cody Millionaire should fight to dump the AQ in CFP. Then Tech can counter the weak conference scenario by 1) scheduling one SEC, one B1G and one ACC team all in non-conference games in one season. OR 2.) joining a big-boy conference, even if they must sacrifice revenue for a decade or two as cost of entry (like SMU route to ACC). Is Cody Billionaire afraid to schedule Vandy, Wisconsin and Duke all in 2027? Playing U of Arkansas-Pine Bluff and New Mexico in 2027 won't cut it. They need another NC game in 2027 after buying out both North Texas and NC State. Who do they schedule as third NC, Montana or Sac St or Maine? Or do they, say, travel to ND to play in South Bend for travel expenses? Or same to Oregon? Or same Penn St? Or same Miami? They should also start a major media and PR campaign to boost viewership of their televised games. They need more eyeballs than students, alumni. and Panhandle residents can provide.
  8. Let's see: β€’ never, ever voluntarily play Tech in football (or any sport, for that matter). β€’ repeat previous bullet. And Hell, they want Texas to give up a home game for them????
  9. I am fully on board if SEC and B1G football exits the NCAA. I want premium games. Play 10 conference games and 2 games from other conference (SEC or B1G). At end of season, have top 6 teams from each conference in playoff tourney. Top 2 SEC get bye, Top 2 from B1G get bye. SEC#3 plays B1G #6, SEC#4 vs B1G#5, etc. We don't stinkin' need ACC or MMA (sorry, B12) conference participation. ACC and B12 can do their own thing.

  10. IMO ... I support changes. 1. Kill all bowl games, they will have no value. 2. NO Automatic slots. 3. Reorg Committee. Raise number of participants so each member rates 1-30. From total votes, Top 24 in order are finalized. 4. Top 8 get Byes.
  11. I can't remember 1) when Arch hurt his foot (if it was ever revealed) and 2) when he started wearing that "leg sleeve." Any chance Arch was hurt early in the season and it took 5 games to adjust? Maybe the early woes were at least influenced by that foot? Just thinking.
