  1. Past hour
  2. I do not care if we get weaker non con games as a result. I am PERFECTLY fine with Texas scheduling 3 non con tune ups before SEC play. Has worked wonders for seemingly everybody else. I never ever ever ever want to see a 24 team playoff. The whole AP top 25 getting in is an absolute joke. We will see plenty of nice non con games in the playoffs.
  3. Caldwell’s Miss St TD pass in OT
  4. The final sack on Mateer at the end of the OU game. Believe it was Brad Spence who initially chased him down then Lance Jackson who smoked him at the end.
  5. Arch to Parker TD bomb at OSU
  6. Niblett vs Miss St. punt return
  7. Arch up the gut vs TAMU. That one and the Niblett punt return vs OU are future jumbo tron material
  8. Niblett punt return against OU.
  9. If 9-3 is the minimum requirement, guess what that means? You’ve now enticed more teams to schedule less vigorously in the non-conference. People need to consider that increasing the number of playoff participants that will ultimately jockey for position. The more that are jockeying for position with a such a qualifier, the fewer risks more teams will take. So maybe a borderline top 20 team contemplates playing Georgia. Why when that’s a 25% chance at a win? Or a Tennessee in the SEC, says no way am I scheduling anyone worth a damn. Ironically enough, a talking point for playoff expansion encourages tougher scheduling. Look how long that took to question that belief. Think of all the middle tier conference teams that they think they’d have a shot at 16 or 24. You are not incentivizing them to have more difficult schedules. There are reasons college football has the greatest regular season that lasts 3 months. So many willing to sacrifice for the hope of one good month. Keep chasing that perfect solution that doesn’t exist. Actually 2005 was about perfect, never to be seen again.
  10. He’s also only a sophomore. Could have him a couple more years.
  11. Yes please Wonder If Kenny Baker has any relationship from his time at Western Kentucky
  12. We need a big body to clog up running lanes while also providing some disruption. We have that Purdue —> Texas DT pipeline going, so seems like a good fit.
  13. Get that Purdue to Texas pipeline going🤘😭
  14. You have my attention. Harkless recorded 3 sacks this season at 6-3, 345. 10 pressures from up the middle would have been tied for 2nd on this year's Texas DL.
  15. Dang it CJ get out there and find us some guards!
  16. For what it's worth, I have been keeping a running list of prospects who have announced portal intentions that I believe to needle moving targets for Texas. I've yet to add any offensive linemen to that list. Obviously this isn't an exact science, nor is it indicative of what Texas will do. But as of now, I don't see any big time needle moving players so far that would be immediate plug and play options for Texas on the interior. If and when those players enter, I will make sure mention who I believe to be immediate options.
  17. What is everyone's favorite play of the year? As much as I want to select something from the Aggy game, the image that pops up in my head is tip toe touchdown for Moseley from an ice cold Caldwell. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/oXmWC5TB1P0
  18. That would be awesome. Get some more football to watch during the dead period before the playoffs too. And agreed on expanding. The beauty of college football is each week in the regular season can make or break you. We don’t need to start seeing 8-4 teams in the CFP.
  19. Texas and the SEC get $6 million for that game. Why would they turn it down? Plus, only heathens and baby killers turn down a cheez it. Legit one of the best snacks ever!
  20. Were you offended when he ran out on the field in a Chiefs jersey too?
  21. I firmly believe that if Notre Dame would have been included over Bama, the SEC (not only Texas) would have immediately began the move to cancel every future series with Notre Dame, and rightfully so. It would have painted an extremely clear picture that SEC schools are far more at risk for scheduling blue blood non cons than Notre Dame. Any SEC school that starts a season 0-2 is absolutely dead in the water. Might as well begin prep for next year. But I guess Touchdown Jesus allows Notre Dame to walk across that water SEC schools would be dead in.
  22. https://espnpressroom.com/us/press-releases/2025/01/espns-college-football-bowl-viewership-reaches-record-highs-for-2024-25-season/ I assume the well will start running dry. Until it does, though, we'll continue to get as many bowl games as ESPN wants to air.
  23. I like Brooks when he does his video sessions, otherwise he just talks out of his BLO-U hole
