  1. Past hour
  2. I don't doubt that, I just didn't see the burst, elusiveness, or speed. Even on his 62 yard touchdown with a key block he gets caught. Speed isn't the only way to be a great wideout. I just think Sark will have to scheme him open and when he does I have all the confidence in him to male the play if the play is there.
  3. How about this: 1) 2 game preseason, records don't count, schedule vs historic rival or regional teams incl fcs, basically a scrimmage and rev generator 2) 32-48 team super league, world cup style groupings of 8. Promotion/relegation optional to the rest of D1 FBS 3) top 16 advance to playoffs in mid Nov. Mirror playoffs for non superleague. Bowl games for rest - A&M Texas Bowl dreams vs B12 live on. 4) National championship Jan 1-10 timeframe, done before spring enrollment 5) 2 portal windows: Dec and May 6) 1 signing day, Dec 1 7) 1-2 revenue spring games allowed vs other schools
  4. Atta boy Quinn 🥲🤘
  5. The story changed way before Knowles left. We didn’t know how reckless Knowles was until he faced more physical run games in the B1G. Knowles ran a 3-3-5, Ohio State’s roster was always built to run a 4-2-5. LJ wanted more aggressive DL, Knowles wanted his DL to contain more. Once Day interjected, Sawyer took off.
  6. We're probably going to simply disagree on this. Story changed after Knowles left. Knowles has been solid for years. LJ has been stubborn for years. Why would Day have hired Knowles if he was overly "reckless"?
  7. Today
  8. His plays weren't all underneath. He wasn't laughing down the feild 40 yards or anything, he operated in the intermediate both inside and outside the numbers. The running game was working so he was able to work off play action. It was a very Brock Purdy like showing for him. But yeah both of his TD throws came in the redzone.
  9. Knowles was reckless before Ohio State with his blitzing and scheme, he over corrected after he was torched at Ohio State his first season and instead played conservative and simply relied on his players to “out athlete” other teams, which worked better until we faced equally as good of offenses like Oregon.
  10. Basic response, except he was QB 1 for a top 5 team. The whole no talent thing is a lazy take
  11. Perhaps. Given that Knowles was always creative and aggressive with his blitz packages prior to his move to Ohio State, it seems unlikely that Knowles suddenly decided to become cautious and conservative when he finally went to a place with all that athleticism. Conversely, LJ has always had a tight rotation and insistent on "his" guys.
  12. This was from an Ohio State insider from Letterman Row after today’s scrimmage - 1. still see Sayin as QB1 after today. Would be surprised if he’s not the guy. Heard Lincoln had some really strong throws throughout the day but hearing the expectation is Sayin 2. The running backs and rushing attack continues to look like a strength of this team 3. still looking like the OL is (L to R) Siereveld Montgomery Hinzman Tegra and Daniels with Onianwa as the 6th man
  13. Good day for Quinn today happy for him. Disappointed in former squad with their jabs- not a great look for the program, so much for lifetime Longhorn lol
  14. Quinn is currently on a 13 play 92 yard drive at the 2 minute warning. On this drive he was behind the chains multiple times and found away to keep the chains moving. He still has a long way to go, but he definitely looks like he belongs. Looks like he's going to finish 11-17 116 with 2 yes. Guess the reports of him not making the same mistakes we've heard out of Dolphins camp are true.
  15. Yeah, Buckeye Nation is quick to blame the low hanging fruit, which is LJ due to his age and perceived lack of recruiting ability. As more and more reports came out it was widely understood that it was Knowles who was holding the D back. This came to be understood way before he left for Penn State.
  16. 16 is the correct number as it eliminates the bye week games which failed miserably last year. 1st round home games for the Top 8 seeds The way the season falls, EVERYBODY in the playoffs gets a bye week (effectively) anyway. This isn't the NFL. Well, 8 would have been best, but that ship has sailed.
  17. @Gerry Hamilton isn’t the word that he has some sort of ankle injury? I can’t believe that’s held him out so long during fall camp.
  18. I’m a big big fan … need him healthy ! He’s definitely a top 3 WR on this team
  19. I've read that since Knowles left. I remember Buckeye nation reaction after that Oregon loss was that Knowles couldn't run the packages he wanted in pass rush situations because LJ controlled DL substitutions, preventing the personnel needed. After Knowles left, it morphed into Day had to get on to Knowles. When it first went down, it was Day had to make LJ let Knowles have what he wanted.
  20. The issue with Knowles is that the defense didn’t become what it was last season until Ryan Day stepped in and made him change the way he called the game. Which was Day wanted Knowles to bring more pressure and be more creative with his blitz packages. It was the Oregon loss that brought about the change and you could see the difference in the second game against Oregon.
  21. Quinn is looking good and doing things he didn't do last week. The Dolphins are even moving his launch point by giving him naked boots. He's 5/8 48 yards 2tds and no sacks.
  22. Reading that Larry Johnson is going to relent and play a larger rotation at DT. If he'd done that last year, probably still have Knowles.
