  2. Couple of updates on 2027 Prospects *** I added the name Ja'Bios Smith to the official visit thread earlier today but wanted to make sure he got his full mention. The 2027 linebacker out of Swainsboro (Ga.) High confirmed to OTF this morning that he will be in Austin for his official visit on June 12-14. The 6-foot-3-inch, 200-pound linebacker holds 23 offers and is considered a consensus top-100 prospect in the country. Official Visit schedule May 28 – Florida June 12 – Texas *** OTF checked in on 2027 North Crowley CB Jerry Outhouse Jr. who visited Austin in January for the junior day. Outhouse tells OTF that he has not heard from Texas recently regarding a possible official visit date. Additionally, Hutto DB Jaiden Fields has not yet heard from Texas. I had seen a question or two regarding Fields after he scheduled his Texas A&M official visit, and checked in. No contact from Texas. *** 2027 Don Bosco Prep (NJ) LB Mikahi Allen tells OTF that he will confirm his official visit date this week with the Texas staff. Allen, a 6-foot-2-inch, 227-pound linebacker prospect is a top-200 player per the composite ranking. Allen holds 28 offers at the moment. Official Visit schedule TBD
  3. If Texas can hit 5 or more 3-pointers a game, they can beat anyone, even UConn. They start hitting that many, that negates the advantage teams like UConn, UCLA, Vandy, etc. have in perimeter shooting over Texas. Texas does a good job of drawing fouls and getting to the line. Can’t beat teams like that going 0-6 from three. To win in the Final Four and national championship game, gotta get at least five threes from Booker, Crump, and Lee. Anyone else like Carlton, Harmon, etc. is a bonus. I’m sure they’ll make it to the Elite Eight at worst, but to win it all, they have to space the floor more offensively. That will help cut down their turnovers when trying to pass it into the frontcourt as well.
  4. Sir...you have a movie list to tend to 😂😂
  5. What happened to the stanford defensive coordinator gig?
  6. Phew.. no need to mention that name lol
  7. Mack panic after losing to Bama, completely changed the offense that didn’t fit the personnel. After the disaster of 2010 he fired his offensive staff that changed the offense per his request didn’t hold himself accountable. Mack should have been fired for coaching malpractice in 2010. Gutless DoLo$$ didn’t want loose his cash cow coach.

  9. If I annoy you with my commentary, I apologize for my tendencies to take different stances than most. The UF game. We blitzed at slightly over 40% of dropbacks. LSU blitzed UF 45% of dropbacks. Now Lagway had a PFF grade 40 points higher versus LSU when Blitzed than when he was not blitzed. All 6 turnover worthy plays were on non-blitzed plays. Let’s keep in mind UF had a very capable C, a very capable T. Against Texas Lagway threw the ball on average at 2.05 seconds when blitzed. Against LSU that was 2.42. The depth of target versus Texas was 10.4 versus 4.8 against LSU. The website is bogging down so can’t get specifics, but our blitz rate was similar to the season average against UF. I have read complaints about our gameplan because we didn’t mimic LSUs pressure. A couple of things - UF had two weeks to prepare for us, and they were at home as compared to on the road versus LSU. Those are two significant factors. Now the numbers. You aren’t getting home a ton in 2.05 seconds. I’m not sure whether we blitzed, but the 55 yard TD was on press coverage. The other TD pass had no safety help over the top. There were maybe two other conversions on 3rd down in which we blitzed. The long completion to Brown also may have been a blitz. Lagway only threw 10 passes beyond 10 yards. We pressured on half, got 1 pick but gave up 2 TDs. Let’s not forget D Wilson was not available versus LSU. My point is that game was not conducive to being more aggressive because when we were it was often ineffective. There were factors present in this game that made it different than other UF played as well. OSU scored 14. One score was because a penalty extended the drive then we whiffed on 4th and goal from the 1. One can argue they played conservatively so they didn’t show us all they had. Maybe, but still only 14 and 200 yards.
  10. It did, Mack didn’t do himself favors at the end for sure. Steve Patterson was the conductor of that whole trainwreck IMO.
  11. I let the OTF ads run, unless it is the beginning of the show.
  12. The beginning of the train wreck started under Mack.
  13. Chatty’s got you lol
  14. Well according to the arm chair jim moore award winning offensive line coaches on here, He’ll be wasted because Kyle flood sucks and need to be fired.
  15. This may be a dumb question but are there rules about wearing "weighted" pads to add a few pounds?
  16. That may not be a far-fetched prediction
  17. 10 Light green 7 Green 4 Dark green 2 Gold
  18. ...mind you in the toughest conference in the country, he has three Elite 8's, one loss in the final 32, and last year's Final Four. He has the top recruiting class coming next year. How will we fair this year? The top seed is important. This is an amazing run in just six years! Coaching matters.
  19. Thanks for the advice. I never thought to look there.
  20. ChatGPT will take care of that lol
  21. Ads more like subtracts amirite 😜?!
  22. Agree! At least with Mack you had some flashes but Charlie was just pure trainwreck. The biggest misstep Mack made imo was try to change the offense in 2010 to a power running game with a QB that specialized in spread/RPO like Gilbert did at LT. Le Sigh, darkest time is right before the dawn right?!
  23. Wait a minute. If I don't see ads then how will I know what to buy?
  24. For the most part. 0 - Raleek Brown 1 - Ryan Wingo 2 - Hollywood Smothers 3 - Emmett Mosley V 4 - Jermaine Bishop Jr 5 - Derrek Cooper 6 - Dia Bell 7 - Kaliq Lockett 8 - Cam Coleman 9 - KJ Lacey
  25. Good luck to PK !
  26. It's certainly "Riddling" how a couple of coaches could oversee that kind of ineptitude.
