MAUI, Hawaii — The bracket for the 2025 Southwest Maui Invitational was announced Tuesday by tournament organizers. The 42nd edition of the prestigious tournament will be played at the historic Lahaina Civic Center on Nov. 24-26, 2025. Texas will face Arizona State in the quarterfinals on Monday, Nov. 24 at 10 p.m. CT (6 p.m. HT) on ESPN2. In semifinal action on Tuesday, Nov. 25, the Longhorns will face either Washington State or Chaminade. The championship round of the tournament will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 26. The other four teams in the bracket are: Boise State, NC State, Seton Hall and USC. All 12 games of the 2025 Southwest Maui Invitational will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU and will also be available on the ESPN app. This will mark UT’s sixth appearance in the Maui Invitational, as Texas has previously competed in 1993, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2020. The Longhorns hold a 10-5 all-time record in the tourney, including winning the 2020 tournament when it was played in Asheville, N.C. due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Texas also registered third-place showings in both 2004 and 2008. Texas and Arizona State will be meeting for the sixth time in men’s basketball. The Longhorns hold a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series, including a 3-0 mark in neutral-site contests. In the initial meeting between the two teams (Dec. 20, 1966), Texas claimed a 93-81 victory in the semifinals of the Sun Devil Classic in Tempe. The Longhorns followed just nine days later (Dec. 29, 1966) with an 89-88 win in the All-College Tournament in Oklahoma City, Okla. Arizona State earned an 89-82 victory in the championship game of the ASU/Tribune Classic in Tempe on Dec. 29, 1990. The Longhorns claimed an 88-71 win in the quarterfinals of the Puerto Rico Shootout in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, on Nov. 25, 1999. In the most recent matchup between the two schools (March 20, 2014), Cameron Ridley converted a put-back at the buzzer to lift Texas to an 87-85 victory in a NCAA Tournament Round of 64 contest in Milwaukee, Wisc. Watch the Georgia game. He beat them with his legs as much as his passing.

What puzzles me about him, and I know how much arm talent he has, is how he didn't really use his legs last year. Wasn't he labeled a dual threat QB ? He avg 2 yds per carry last year.

Joel Klatt's top 10 players in CFB pre-season
Bobbers replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I like Klatt. I think he is one of the more knowledgeable talking heads on the internet. Having said that, his effusive praise (one of the best college players he has ever seen) of the Ohio State receiver really shows you what a great game plan Texas had against Ohio State last year. PK and his guys shut down Jeremiah Smith. I will be very interested to see how they deal with Smith this year. -

I also can't wait to see this year's version of the Nascar package. That will be VERY interesting to see that evolve over the long season.
