Good luck to him. I've never been a fan of the "bend but don't break" defensive style but the numbers don't lie, we were one of the best defenses in the country when he was DC.
-
Glad he found a good spot. He did well for the University.
-
Yep! Think it's a great fit for him.

Logic is that he is elite and beating out someone, even with that price tag means we got a * for the next few years. Sark gonna put the best out there this year, price tag be damned. -

Wishful thinking and not sure I understand the logic. Siani is not sitting the bench with that price tag -
Feels like a great fit. No need to recruit...............he can simply just coach. Best of luck PK!

Wait… this actually works? Someone test it and report back 😂

The Arizona Cardinals have hired former Texas defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski to be their next defensive line coach. Best of luck to PK.

As long as he's adding the weight in his ass and not his gut. I really like taking a nimble but physical OT like Turntine and stacking weight on him. If he can remain patient off and nasty on the field, he has a chance to shine. -
Texas men’s indoor tennis natty
GoHorns1 replied to Quinncent McManning, Jr.'s topic in On Texas Football Forum
The Longhorns made their second finals appearance and brought home the title with a 4-2 win over No. 2 Ohio State. Dallas – No. 7 Texas Men's Tennis won the program's first ITA Indoors National Championship with a 4-2 win over No. 2 Ohio State on Tuesday at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex in Dallas. It was the Longhorns' second appearance in the tournament final with the last being in 2023 in Chicago. The win avenged an earlier season loss on the road at Ohio State on January 29 and completed an impressive run that included a sweep of a trio of in-state foes including No. 19 Baylor in the semifinals in Dallas, and No. 5 TCU in the quarterfinals and No. 8 Texas A&M in the round of 16 in Waco. The Longhorns had previously beaten UNC Wilmington and South Florida in the first and second rounds in Austin on January 23 and 24, respectively. "Anytime it's a first National Championship, it's an amazing benchmark for the program," head coach Bruce Berque said. "Most importantly, I'm super happy for the guys because they earned it. It was a pretty cool thing because they really stepped up and decided they wanted to make the standards even higher than they were. They were pretty disappointed with their start (to the season), but I was thinking, 'Guys you're being hard on yourselves, we're down a couple of guys, just hang in there.' But they said no, and they set some standards and they went to work, walked the walk, and held each other accountable. Not that we weren't working hard before, but they took it to another level. I couldn't believe how consistently competitive they were from No. 1 all the way to No. 6, day after day, so I couldn't be more proud of the team, and it's a great milestone for the program, but it's a lifetime memory these guys just made for themselves." The match opened in remarkable fashion with all three doubles courts extending to a tiebreaker. Ohio State, which had all three of its teams in the top-eight of the doubles rankings held match points on all three courts at various times, but the Longhorns fought back and emerged with wins at Nos. 2 and 3 to take the point. The teams then went back and forth in singles with the Buckeyes winning at No. 3 singles to tie it, but senior No. 10 Sebastian Gorzny regained the lead with a win at No. 1. Ohio State then took the match at No. 4, but freshman Lucas Marionneau produced a three-set victory at No. 6 for a 3-2 advantage. That left two courts in action at Nos. 2 and 5, and freshman Kalin Ivanovskicrossed the finish line first at No. 2 to deliver the championship. In those doubles matches, Gorzny and Marionneau knocked off the nation's top ranked team of Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin, 7-6 (5), at No. 2 after the Buckeyes had a match point while up 5-4. The No. 27 duo of sophomore Sebastian Eriksson and Oliver Ojakaarthen clinched the point at No. 3 with a 7-6 (3) win over the No. 8 pair of Aidan Kim and Bryce Nakashima, who also had a match point while leading, 5-4. In the remaining match Ivanovski and freshman Abel Forger were down by just a point, 6-5, in their tiebreaker against No. 7 Alex Okonkwo and Alexander Beranard at No. 1. The Longhorns fought off a total of five match points in that contest and were sitting on another when play halted. Ohio State evened the overall score as Forger fell to No. 24 Jack Anthrop, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 3. However, Gorzny quickly responded to regain the lead for Texas with a top-15 victory over No. 13 Kim, 6-4, 6-4, at No. 1. The Buckeyes earned their final point of the night as No. 51 Eriksson was downed by No. 29 Okonkwo at No. 4 to knot it at 2-2. From there, the Longhorns captured two ranked wins to close it out, starting with Marionneau rallying to defeat No. 98 Filin in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 6. As that match finished, Ivanovski was a game away from his victory, which he then broke to secure, 7-5, 6-4, over No. 22 Preston Stearns at No. 2. In the remaining match at No. 5, Ojakaar was also in a third set against Nakashima with the score even, 2-6, 6-3, 2-2. The Longhorns will next have a quick turnaround, heading back out on the road for their first three matches of SEC play, starting with Alabama on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m. CT, followed by top-15 matches at No. 6 Mississippi State on Monday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. CT, and No. 14 South Carolina on Friday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT. #7 Texas 4, #2 Ohio State 2 Singles – Order of Finish (3,1,4,6,2) 1. #10 Sebastian Gorzny (TEX) def. #13 Aidan Kim (OHST) 6-4, 6-4 2.
