  2. More size, arm length and skilled size so far ... but two more spots to fill too. 1. A big F/W with skill and a building perimeter game that will be a 1st or 2nd round pick when he leaves Texas. Dailyn Swain, F, 6-8, junior (11.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals) 2. A true 7-foot center that will be a two year player, and NBA prospect after second year at Texas. Matas Vokietaitis, C, 7-0, sophomore (10.2 points, 5.4 rebounds) 3. An athletic W/F that shoots it at 39-40% from three. Two years left to play. Camden Heide, F, 6-7, junior (4.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 39.2% from three)

  4. Sorry to bring this up, but what is the difference we're seeing so far between Coach Terry in the portal vs Coach Miller in the portal? Is it just the calibre of player? Bigger, more athletic players? I know a lot of people were unhappy with Coach Terry's portal acquisitions, so I'm just wondering how Coach Miller stacks up with that.
  5. For sure. He’s going to build complete rosters with size over time
  6. I had an Ag friend tell me when we first joined the SEC that we weren't ready for the SEC. That we weren't tough enough. He was right at the time. But as we continue to dominate the SEC in every sport except for MBB, it's becoming obvious that the SEC wasn't ready for TEXAS. The SEC mat not be TEXAS tough. The Ags sure as hell aren't.

  7. Sean Miller looks like he is trying to construct a roster that is in line with what he did at Zona. Length, length and more length.
  8. Let's go! The roster is coming together well. Could use either another big body or a traditional PG that can shoot and defend.
  9. I'm happy for this pick up, but I'm not over the moon about it. He's a true freshman, so there is plenty of room for improvement, but he's not a plus shot blocker, a guy with big offensive range, or a guy you can expect to beat a guy of similar size and strength on the block. He is someone who seems to understand the game very well for his age, and he is terrific at positioning. Check out his transfer portal highlight vid, and you will see what I mean. There is nothing there that wows you with his athleticism, but it is a terrific exposition of understanding how to get into position to score. Give this guy 3 years of S&C training, and he could be awesome, but don't give up on him if he appears to be something less than what you hoped in his first year here.
  10. @Gerry Hamilton@CJ Vogel Solid pick up. Any sources sharing Miller’s perspective of being at Texas? Things like brand, support, NIL etc.?
  11. Him, Codie, Vinson and Clark have to hit the weight room hard this summer.
  12. I like this kid's game. He needs some strength and will need to be a stronger finisher at the rim in the SEC, but he gots skills.
  13. This roster already has a lot of size ... and the next two portal additions will be another big (6-10, 240'ish) and a big guard that can shoot it
  14. A lot of things I like about Matas ... a couple 1. Very good hands for a big man. 2. Has a left hand scoring ability 3. Runs floor with purpose 4. Physical player, period.
  15. Too bad Miller can’t recruit…
  16. Some stuff in Europe from Matas
  17. As CJ said, it really started to click late in season for him in his freshman season
  18. Three ships remaining ... 1. One more big (Texas leads for Lassina Traore) 2. Guard shooter with size 3. Developmental player (could be G or skkilled big that needs a year)
  19. Averaged 15.5 and 7.2 over his final six games of the season, including two AAC games and an NIT game.
  20. Awesome pickup. Needed a center.
