So there will be 10 first round picks in the 2027 NFL draft on the field at the same time on Sept. 12. Gotta be some sort of record for a single draft.

I love the idea of Wingo to the Rams
-
I was wondering the same thing. So his road games for example in other states he would be ruled ineligible but home games he could play in Mississippi. Unless I’m dumb
-
We will use Trinidad Chambliss as an example. Since a Mississippi judge has granted an injunction making him illegible would t that make him eligible only in Mississippi? What if a Texas judge ruled him to be I eligible? Could there be a situation where a player could be eligible in one state but not the others? Disregard that the 5 x 5 could make this irrelevant. @Bobby Burton @CJ Vogel @Jeff Howe @Hank South @Gerry Hamilton

I am OUT on Sellers. OL was a mess, but decision making was so far worse.
-
11. NYG – IDL David Stone, Oklahoma Good luck with that pick.
-
Six would tie the record (Bama, 2020) google tells me. McDonald could also go in the first round.

Texas women's basketball portal thread
HookemTexas replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I do agree with the sentiment that Vic needs to figure something out with regards to the portal yearly. The elite programs don’t lose key players, they lose the ones that don’t think can get playing time to get it elsewhere. Last few years, this one especially, have seen departures from key role players and starters. - Today

Love the rule, hope it’s retroactive. 🤘🏼🐂🧡

I would rather say nice things about Kyle flood than start a mid ball thread
-
@Joe Zura starting a basketball thread? Absolutely not
-
Sellers at #4 is something
-
If implemented this coming season, 4th year true seniors will absolutely sue...as they should. This affects true 4th year seniors like Jordan Pope. He'll be in line for a nice NIL payday!

Which version did you use as data point? The first or final?

Craver over Wingo is absurd!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿

Coach Hays was also the father-in-law to Randy McEachern, former UT QB when Earl was winning the Heisman -
Six 1st round picks would be awesome and real nice for recruiting.

Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby - oh boy!!!

Don't leave us hanging in suspense man - you "predict he doesn't [miss/play/?] single game this year" ? -
I just finished compiling first round data from two 2026 mock draft composites plus individual first round mocks from ten of the biggest industry names. Todd had the most accurate 2026 first round mock of anyone, by a wide margin over everybody except Mel Kiper (the edge over Mel was slight). I was impressed. So hopefully he's right again about 2027 Longhorns going in round one (I'll start a new thread later today and post the draft data - pretty interesting to mock draft watchers)

Passing of a High School Coaching Legend

Sad. He was a good guy. I went to Texas when Jack, jr. was there. We lived on the same floor at Jester Center. I met Jack sr. several times. The same with Jenna. A really nice girl. My condolences. -
I don’t see Sellers being QB3 in this draft. Also Ryan Williams needs to apply some glue to his hands if he wants to go in round 1

I am betting this becomes a non-story. just listening to coffee and football and maybe there is more to this than meets my eye. -

Being from Friendswood ... I remember the name talked about by coaches from area schools. Had some terrific teams in late 60's and early 70's -
And 22 of 32 will be drafted out of the college they signed with out of HS High school recruiting remains the lifeblood of programs
