Yup, hubris at its finest. Someone f’ed up allowing that kid to play and it’s all in Burnt Vegetables. He’s the head coach gotta be smarter than that.

Wisner on offense definitely with Arch not far behind. Defense I agree with Manny, having him back made a huge difference and allowed our secondary to play together like they’re used to doing. Also gotta give a nod to Kanu and Simmons. Collin was a beast and loved seeing him get on the board with 2.5 sacks! Niblett for SP. even though he missed 2 fg I liked what I saw out of Shipley. Missing 2 from 55&56 yards is excusable imo but it shows me that there’s life there when needed down the stretch. The doink was soooo close and the 56 yarder was at least on line just a little more leg. Certainly more consistent that Bert last year. -

Don’t you guys think they already have their guy? You don’t fire a successful coach with that kind of money owed if you don’t have someone ? Right? I guess they do keep losing to the big 3 in their conference with no end in sight. Now, add in the bottom feeder losses of late, and it was a matter of time. I just can’t see them not having talked to someone yet.

I didn't realize that OU had a bye this upcoming week. So, you're telling me they could have had a well rested Mateer ready to go after Red River if he sat? Imagine if they sat Mateer and went with Hawkins. If they lost, they could have pointed out that Texas only won because Mateer didn't play. Hell, that would have been the narrative the national media went with too. If they somehow won with Hawkins, they would have been in prime position and broken the back of this Texas team. Now after Red River, Texas provides a blueprint to beat OU, Mateer looks to have gotten beat up/exposed, and they are facing the toughest schedule in the country, arguably. Just a dumb decision all around. Glad it happened.

Lexington at night, gotta bring it abd focusing on getting in rhythm offensively and defensively. Even though they’re not great we all know they play hard and the Stoops’ love to mess with Texas… -

I’m curious… Who are your MVP’s on both sides of the ball from this Sunday I would say Offensive: Tre Wisner, just looked dominant and was the main life of the offense Defensive: Manny Muhammed, came back with a vengeance and looked like the lockdown CB1 he was predicted to be after his freshman breakout. If he can hold his form he’s an All-American and getting drafted in the first 2 rounds.

A new 2026 name on the radar One of the 2026 prospects on hand in Dallas for the Texas 23-6 win over Oklahoma was Dylan Waters (Missouri City, Texas/Marshall). The 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback is putting together a very impressive senior campaign for the Buffaloes on both sides of the ball. Waters committed to Utah over UCLA June 24 after making official visits to both. Texas cornerbacks coach Mark Orphey stopped by Marshall High prior to the Longhorns flying out to Florida to watch Waters up close in a practice. Since that time, Orphey has been in touch with the circle of Waters in the last week or so. While an offer hasn't been extended to this point, this is a prospect Texas is making an extended senior eval on.

2025 Women's Volleyball Thread

It's wild to see how these big SEC football schools support other sports. Some of these volleyball facilities are real dumps. -
Calling it now, if Elko goes there, you know it'll be somehow our fault 😂😂 To @Gerry Hamilton's point, we were seeing talk of people wanting Sark gone after this season. People wanting Kirby gone. Ryan Day gone last year, until they won the title.

Cignetti has more wins against top 5 opponents this year than Franklin did during his entire tenure at Penn State. Also, hiring Cignetti, 64 year old, is a very temporary solution to what ails the fans in Happy Valley, and they probably deserve what they get by bringing in a man who will be eligible for social security to run their program. My bet would be making a run at Elko.

College coaching carousel 2025: It's going to be wild

There is a reason why Jimmy Sexton is the best agent for football coaches -
You go further back after the Joe Pa issues and after the Florida run and again both are perennial Top 20. Both Penn St and Florida are Top 10-15 jobs. My ultimate point is Cignetti is from Penn and seems to be a competitor with a chip on his shoulder of which I am a fan so IMO might want to show the state what they has passed on previously(Besides IUPUI). If I had to guess, he stays at IU with a nice raise
