Watched several different sports talk things today that hashed this out and some people were pretty adamant about examining the bad loss to Georgia and the loss to a bad (at least not good) Georgia team. It seemed that these losses counteracted the good wins in their opinions. Others thought the wins were a bit more important. I think we are in an uphill battle to get a playoff spot unless there are some weird results in some of the conferences with playoffs for their championship if the selection committee has members with similar attitudes.

Like the committee’s word to value SOS and SOR. Several national media have already brought this up and list Alabama on the bubble, but ok.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t buy the narrative that Lane elevated Ole Miss. At best, I think it was a 70/30 kind of deal. Their teams have been extremely portal heavy and Lane has benefitted from an aggressive NIL splurge by Ole Miss during this period. It takes two to tango and while I believe he’s a great offensive mind and good HC, I don’t think it’s fair to act like Ole Miss owes him anything (at least not after how this has all transpired). Ole Miss did their share in supplying him with the roster to compete.

If Dinich is accurate on this then the committee has their heads buried deep in their asses. Oklahoma being a lock and is out is an absolute joke. I'm gonna be extremely pissed if we are left out and a single difficult OOC game remains on our future schedules. If that happens we need drop 100% of them, including the home games. ESPN can deal with the consequences of that.

IF Bama gets blown out, they can absolutely get left out. Bama fans have brought this point up repeatedly on their boards. Many were hoping A&M would beat Texas to avoid this very scenario.
