What an inaugural run in the SEC. To think, the consensus a year ago was that we would be competitive in every sport other than baseball in our first season of SEC play.

My issue with Pierce last year is that he badly mismanaged the roster. There were key players that weren't healthy coming into the season and he knew, or should have known, that was a potential issue.

Well, we won the SEC All-sports Trophy in the first year. So that's a pretty good way to walk into a room. We clinched it even before the baseball team won the conference title. Tennessee had won 3 of the past 4, but we dethroned them pretty easily.

Greg in a Twitter exchange this last fall told me he was hoping to call games with Moreland again. I can only hope that CDC has a come to Jesus meeting with the SEC about Texas producing their own home games in baseball and choosing their own announcers. Why not have Craig Way with Zeke and Zonk?
