I just saw this story on the ESPN YouTube page and I stopped, double clutched, and went back and read it carefully. Gerry has been mentioning this subject on Coffee and Football... but just in a "what if" sorta way. Well, it didn't take long! I guess the NBA was a bit more challenging than was expected...so now this player thinks he needs to repeat the third grade...or whatever. As college sports eligibility becomes more of a case by case matter, it's going to be interesting to see how long it goes until the NCAA comes up with some rules...or if eligibility becomes a Case Law matter for the Courts to decide. Geez.

Could be worse. Rutgers signed two of the top three recruits in the 2024 class, probably paying several million $. They played well enough to go # 2 and # 5 in the 2025 draft but Rutgers had a losing record and didn't make the tournament. Talk about a waste of talent ...

Donivan Moore, a top defensive lineman out of Hueytown (Ala.), included the Longhorns along withOle Miss, Auburn, Ohio State, Alabama and LSU in his top six as of Friday afternoon. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive lineman is currently ranked as a top-75 prospect in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

He's a baller, doubt if he continues putting up the numbers he is he'll be back.
