  1. Past hour
  2. Freeman or Maroknek would have been huge for the power aspect in the lineup to reach about six deep.
  3. That’s what jumped out to me also. They pitched around Tinney the entire series. The loss of the 2 portal signees to the MLB draft last year hurt (Kaleb Freeman, .350 ave, 28 doubles, 16 HR, 46 RBIs, 61 walks last year and Jack Moroknek (OF) .372 ave, 16 doubles, 18 HR, 57 RBIs last year). There is a reason Schloss wanted them. Those 2 would have added both flexibility and firepower. It’s only one weekend though and Borba was close to HR on a few balls he hit foul. Otherwise they will need to do something it would seem. Becerra hit over 300 at Stanford but doesn’t hit with power. Possibly move him up and hit 2nd and mi e Rodriguez behind Tinney. Opposing teams would try to pitch around Rodriguez but he is such a pure hitter it may still work. Still have time for someone to step up and hit behind Tinney.
  4. Hahaha they squared up like it was a hockey fight
  5. Oh Redick for sure. Although I think he’s less random. I’d consider him an iconic college basketball player.
  6. Old old timers might remember this one - Darryl Dawkins v Maurice Lucas fighting in the 1977 NBA Finals. Two BAMF - Dawkins was bigger but Lucas had a reputation of the toughest guy in the league. That was a scary fight when those two starting throwing punches. Sixers (Julius Erving was their star) won the game to go ahead 2-0 in the series, then Portland, led by Bill Walton, swept the next four to take the championship.
  7. Talking a bit of everything post portal and headed into spring
  8. I’m guessing Bama since apparently they can’t get a ton of NIL going to keep up with the big dawgs.
  9. I pondered this as well. Chatman will be in the mix as well. Newman is really intriguing too.
  10. Newman over Chatman? Is Chatman not yet recovered?
  11. JJ Redick at Duke was unreal. I remember him lighting up the Horns for 40. Always tried to mimic his jumper and free throw routine while shooting around at 24 hour fitness back in the day
  12. Newman? Without Seymore as well, I'm guessing Newman - Sikorski - Robertson - Baker - Sianai.
  13. Volantis was named the Co-Pitcher of the Week by the SEC. Not too bad for the opening weekend.
  14. Yes, Humann is on the field at DKR, and at the Disch. Truist is the floor sponsor at Moody for bball games.
  15. Don’t we advertise Humann on the playing field? im sure in the minority with this. Advertising is already all over the stadium. I’m not a fan of it being on the uniforms but I’m not going to wet my pants over it either. If we do it, I’m sure it’ll be as tastefully as we’ve done other forms of advertising in the past.
  16. One year it would be Double Eagle IV and the next year it'd be Double Eagle V at this rate...
  17. Two years of eligibility remaining.
  18. Today
  19. As of Monday, Texas is safely in the field of 68, moving up from getting one of Joe Lunardi’s last four byes on Sunday.

  20. How many more years of eligibility does he have? I know he redshirt his first year, and now with the injury he has, I'm thinking 2 but I'm not sure.
  21. Very curious to see who’s running with the one’s at left tackle single goosby will be out for the spring.
  22. Cardiac Kemba. Now I’m just turning this into a big east love fest.
  23. Doing that all in a 55 jersey just makes it so much better.
  24. Those Pitt teams were physical. Levance Fields was a classic NYC point guard that was tough as nails.
  25. Pittsnogle was an absolute monster. I was a big Boston College fan before attending Texas and miss Big East basketball so much.
