  1. Past hour
  2. Funny enough , they’ll be another Alabama/FSU beat down to start this season
  3. I like the sound of that. https://www.on3.com/college/texas-longhorns/news/archie-manning-predicts-grandson-arch-will-not-declare-2026-nfl-draft-he-will-be-at-texas/
  4. Carrington Byndom- had a INT return TD in the TAMU game in 2011
  5. This is not apples to apples - when the men's game started, there weren't lucrative TV contracts, social media, widely available viewing in your pocket, etc. Throw in that it wasn't a global game at the time and the concept of athletics as a career was not a thing like it is today. I don't think they are losing money in that it's a negative for them, I think the league isn't making money and they are in the red, but it's probably a write-off or something worked in, they are just using the words not making money (which can be true) but the owners themselves aren't losing millions.

  7. Why would they be worrying about him transferring in August?
  8. That is very funny....and it is freaking amazing that Moro is still only 23 years old.
  9. @Gerry Hamilton agrees with your friends, fwiw.
  10. I honestly hope it’s Sayin. The other guy seems to be more mobile. Assuming our pass rush will be a strength, I’d rather go against the less mobile QB.
  11. I like that. Sam will never be a traditional drop back passer but he’s got tools that could be useful for any team.
  12. And he's still only 19 years old!
  13. J Love with great praise for Golden 🤩 https://x.com/bykevinclark/status/1953078632575811875?s=46
  14. My Ohio State friends think it’s Sayin and they’re keeping it “close” so that the back up doesn't transfer. They invested decently in Sayin after Bama. If the back up transferred then they’d have a true FR as a back up. Seems to me that they’re doing more of what we did with Murphy and Quinn.
  15. I want to see a beatdown like Bama vs Fl St. to start the season a few years ago with Texas playing the role of Bama.
  16. Loving the fact that neither QB has separated himself. Could we have a repeat of 2005 Ohio State v Texas when Jim Tressel platooned his top 2 QBs back and forth all game. They had the elder statesman Justin Zwick and the young but talented Troy Smith (who won the Heisman a year later after undefeated regular season). I remember watching the game, grateful every time Tressel chose to put Zwick in the game. Safe bet but far less talented, less likely to explode on us. Ohio State lost their momentum in the 4th qtr as a result of Vince and team stepping up and lack of rhythm by their QB. Could Ryan Day end up pulling a Tressel and try playing both QB? I think it’s a mistake to play 2 QBs. I’m sure he’ll pick single starter but would be dejavu if he chose to play both.
  17. I wonder if Sean Payton sees a bit of a Taysom Hill type of asset in Sam Ehlinger?
  18. Poona is still one of my favorite Longhorns of the past several years. Love his effort and game.
  19. This thread is definitely pin worthy. Thanks!
  20. I don’t want to be the over confident Texas fan but these quarterback options seem loke works in deep progress at best.
  21. Danny Lester - game changing INT in the Big Shootout and occasional two way player ar WR.
  22. Throwing Sayin in against Texas is a big risk imo. If he implodes, will his confidence be damaged in the near term? I bet if the competition is still close in three weeks we see Kienholz.
  23. I hope their qb has a hard time finding his stud receivers. We need to swarm his ass… whoever he is.
  24. A few notes coming out of Ohio State as of this morning: - After the first week or so of practice, the QB competition between Julian Sayin and Lincoln Kienholz is too close to call at this point, says Head Coach Ryan Day. "The competition continues. They both have had good moments and moments where they're growing. I will say I've been pleased with the progress. It's going to go right down to the wire. The positives of having a competition is that you know every day you got to bring it. The guys are always on edge, they're uncomfortable, they're working at it. I think that's healthy for the entire building." - Defensive tackle Eddrick Houston has returned to practice after being injured last week. Houston looks to be a starter against Texas in just a few weeks. - True freshmen Devin Sanchez and Riley Pettijohn, both who were recruited by the Longhorns, have been impressing early. They both have had their "black stripe" removed from their helmet and are only two of four freshmen to be able to do so up to this point. - Ohio State has landed three wide receivers on the Biletnikoff Award Watch list.
  25. Who will be the starting LT if Zuhn folds inside to Center? Are they going to put true frosh L.Rogers out there to protect M.Reed’s backside this year? That’ll be a win-prevention strategy.
