Texas Makes Top 6 for 2026 DB Honor Fa'alave Johnson
Joe Zura replied to CJ Vogel's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Oregon getting a good one -
Texas has made the top six cut for elite 2026 DB Honor Fa'alave Johnson. Among those who made the cut: USC, Miami, LSU, Oregon, Notre Dame and Texas. Johnson is one of the top prospects in the country, and is currently rated as the No. 1 safety in the country by multiple services. Johnson is expected on campus on March 28th. Will Muschamp made the trip to see him in person on January 15th as well.

I am very curious why so many people seem to believe Sark is interested in leaving soon

I wonder if the marketing team at Vonlane bus travel could sponsor this kid. Von Lane TE/QB at Tyler Legacy He has been splitting time at QB and TE wherever the team needed him. I think he is a future TE. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/19859639/698bf8846873f4e9c936bfaa

Disagree but it would be disappointing to not see a Manning win one, that’s for sure. There is too much involved to say championship or bust like injuries, crappy refs, uncontrollable circumstance, etc.
-
I think if he was confident Sark stays after next year we would be higher.

Agree. I get that some people don’t see it that way, but the mix of talent and experience of this team, plus the amount of money in this roster, puts me in a natty or bust mentality. At some point, you have to do it.

Very concise take on the matter, @Gerry Hamilton. Like so many things in life, there's more than one answer. Kudos. P -

Maybe you should try watching the modern game of basketball. Other posters have already laid it out for you. My guess is you’re either trolling or too dense to see what’s been presented to you. -
Love the high numbers, not sure why, but they're cool.

Oh, I definitely think there is confusion. People try to pigeon hole what one is. Absolutely define what a positional player has to be, to be a quality player or impact winning. I'm always going to say there are so many ways to win and be successful, with so many different skill set players nowadays in college hoops. Your team runner/combo guard or pure PG (if you find a rare one these days) can be floor spacer shooter that get's a team into action/sets and doesn't have to be the playmaker off the bounce - if said player has another guard playing off of him that's the creator. And parts on the team around him fit to a system and create space and angles. IMO, the systems nowadays are more important than a PG/lead guard/combo guard in college basketball. Or the roster creation. Duke absolutely doesn't have a PG this year. Or a true off the bounce creator consistently. They built a roster with extreme length, enough perimeter shooting and an elite big (who leads team in assists). They have the ability to recruit a roster like that, of course. This is the team runner/combo guard I want as a college coach. (UConn played two CG roles on that team). Elite shooter that can play on or off ball, and still run a team. Absolutely puts high-end pressure on an opponent without being a pure PG, drive and kick CG/team runner at the college level. The plays he made off dribble were more built from the system. And he played in the system beautifully. Rarely was there a drive inside ten feet that was a pure creation. He plays a totally different game in the NBA as a team runner/PG now with the 48 minute spacing in the NBA game. -
