  1. Past hour
  2. Whatever you do, DO NOT open the game thread!!!
  3. I was curious- since the start of the Urban Meyer era Ohio State has played four games against OOC P5 teams at home that were ranked at the time of playing or at the end of the season (OU in 2017, TCU in 2018, Oregon in 2021 and ND in 2022). 2-2 in those games. Also a home loss to VaTech sprinkled in there. Not quite the indomitable fortress it's made out to be.
  4. So, about this Ohio State "reworked" DL, from what I have read, T Williams, J Sawyer, JTT and Ty Hamilton are all gone. Those were last year's starters in the Cotton Bowl. Kenyatta Jackson played when JTT got hurt. McDonald played some snaps too. According to Ourlads, the proposed starters this season are Jackson, McDonald, Houston, and Atkinson. I don't believe Houston played a snap against us last year and Atkinson was not on the team. Nobody else in your two deep played in that game except for Curry. Sounds like a little more going on than "reworking".
  5. We've recruited as well as anybody over the last 5 years so it only stands to reason that your friendly Buckeye visitors think we have a stacked roster.....we do. So do you! Here's my take much similar to my fellow Buckeye... Oline: very good/excellent depth QB: talented, but young and inexperienced RB: above average/very good WR: elite TE: elite DL: very good/experience limited LB: Very good to Elite Corner: very good Safety: Elite - any unit with Caleb Downs leading is gonna be elite Kicking Game: Average at best I don't expect a repeat, but if the DL is serviceable and the young QB grows into the postion throughout the season, I know we'll be a handful by the end of the year wouldn't be surprised by a strong run. It's a pick em game in Columbus, I see both rosters stacked and pretty much equal. I think the home field is a massive advantage for us facing a young QB with new OL
  6. Had an absolute blast at the first stop on the tour yesterday in Austin. Excited for everyone in Houston and Dallas over the next few days. You never know what might happen on this tour, so always be prepared, always stay sharp. Sharp like razors by Manscaped ™️ Thanks @Rod Babers @Bobby Burton@Gerry Hamilton for the signatures and good times.
  7. Yup, win or lose I’ll be back here to tell you guys good game. And you can laugh at me all you want if some of the things I believed were “elite” didn’t end up being very elite lol
  8. The stadium capacity was a cool tie-in. Great watch
  9. Truly pathetic and very aggy.
  10. Just comparing to cotton bowl WR would be improvement. Golden injured his foot and missed a chunk of time and also wasn’t moving well when he came back.
  11. Today
  12. Very interesting. Thanks for the back and forth, I’ve enjoyed it. Overall I still feel this game comes down to the QB/OL/DLs, if we can harass Sayin then we have a chance, if not then we’re cooked. If we can give Arch time then we have a chance, if not we’re cooked. Personally don’t think either team will mount much of a rushing attack unless their QB is doing well. Otherworldly WRs can’t do much if their QB doesn’t have time. Can’t wait to watch.
  13. 100%. And among the best in the nation means different things to different people. To me that means Ohio State will have one of the ten best defensive lines in the country. With Ohio State’s history, recruiting, and coaching I don’t think that’s a stretch.
  14. Maybe I’m seeing through burnt orange glasses…but I see Arch as an immediate upgrade at QB. Period.
  15. The jury is still out on whether they'll be among the best in the nation, if they do I honestly believe this years defense will be superior to last. We can all speculate all we want but we do know this, 3 of the 4 DL that you'll face in Columbus played meaningful snaps and performed very well in the Cotton Bowl last year against that OL. I see no reason to think that they won't play well again this year against this years reworked version
  16. Here’s my honest opinion just for clarity WRs: Elite TEs: Elite RBs: Very good IOL: Elite OTs: Very good QB: Good but inexperienced DL: Very good LBs: Elite, just behind Texas CBs: Elite Safeties: Very good K: Average, inconsistent P: Above average, nothing special
  17. That is why I wanted to come here and give my opinions. Same goes for Texas by the way. I learned that the Texas offensive line isn’t nearly as inexperienced as I thought they were. My prediction is 31-17 Ohio State. I’ve been wrong plenty FYI, and will probably be wrong here too lol
  18. guess we'll find out saturday about goosby yo
  19. To be fair, Texas can say elite for many of the same.
  20. So reading through the comments the Buckeyes think their team is: Oline: elite QB: near elite but young RB: very good WR: elite TE: elite DL: elite LB: elite Secondary: elite Sounds like back to back national championship is the expectation there.
  21. Super interesting to get the Buckeye fan perspective. Definitely different than I usually hear listening to Longhorn podcasts everyday, makes me less confident! Sounds like you’re expecting a fairly straightforward Buckeye win, care to give a prediction?
  22. I call BS. He was probably talking about cruising around St. Louis in a wheel barrow and some poor reporter tried to translate it to English.
  23. Totally forgot about that! Would love for the Horns to avenge their CFP loss in Columbus similar to how the Ducks did (albeit many years after their CFP loss)
  24. Current Roster excluding walk ons Seniors: DJ Campbell (5 Star), Cole Hudson (4 Star) Juniors: Connor Roberson (3 Star), Neto Umeozulu (4 star) Sophomore: Brandon Baker (5 Star), Jaydon Chatman (4 Star), Andre Cojoe (3 Star), Trevor Goosby (4 Star), Connor Stroh (3 Star) Freshman: Nick Brooks (4 Star), Jackson Christian (3 Star), Devin & Jordan Coleman (3 Stars), Daniel Cruz (4 Star), Nate Kibble (4 Star) Incoming class: John Turntine (4 Star), Nicolas Robertson (3 Star), Max Wright (3 Star) Transferred out: Malik Agbo, Payton Kirkland, Sawyer Gorman-Welch Information was based on 24/7 I feel like Kyle Flood has a respectable OL pipeline and that there is enough talent on campus to protect Arch and have a quality run game. However, the argument could be made that we are thin at tackle and Flood has landed less elite prospects since the fantastic pancake factory class. Time will tell and imo will really depend upon OL evaluations as no brainer recruits are hard to find and expensive.
  25. Yeah, only Oregon in 2021.
