Great. Is your national championship caliber K back? Because that would scare me. Perhaps change my view. -

The IOL didn’t just play a month of football, they lead Ohio State to a national championship. That is a proven national championship winning IOL -

I understand I’m mixing it up here a bit. Many of the names I rattled off were Ohio State defenders so if those guys were in prominent roles, then I’d expect 3/5 of our Olinemen to be designated as such by the Ohio State contingent. I don’t really care except to the extent that you’re consistent. It was not a comparison of our Oline to yours. Now perhaps your interior Oline played prominent roles in the last month. Fine. But you also lost some pieces of that Oline. You also lost experienced RBs. They had experienced pieces around them in suppport. They’ve got ability sure. I hate to tell you (again it doesn’t really matter), but an independent source grading these dudes says these guys didn’t play quality football but rather their teammates picked them up. They aren’t the same players as last year. There is no reason to believe they’ll be dominant and certainly not against us. -

7 Days Until Kickoff — Who’s Your Favorite No. 7?
Tuco Ramirez replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Recency bias says Jahdae, but Huff was great and I love that he’s still involved with the team. -
Yeah, this would be another tip of the cap to Torre Becton and Chris Jackson.
-
Has Lockett been getting reps with the first team? I’m not expecting him to start, but it would be great if he could contribute sooner than anticipated.

Somehow I knew someone would bring this up right off the bat when I made this thread. lol - Today

He has unquestionably improved his body composition and his professionalism in the time since he’s been in Austin. That bodes well for his long term future IMO.

Yup exactly what @Gerry Hamilton talks about all the time. Love to see HS QBs get pressure and see how they handle it. Love this note.
-
I love that. QBs that operate from consistently clean pockets don't show you everything on tape. Manning operated behind a line that was less than adequate. It looks like we have another that's a playmaker under duress. Gruntled.

All 12 of us may tune in. -
AH could not keep the defense out of the backfield in the first half. It would have been easy to pack this one up in the 3rd. Bell never got frustrated. I think Texas has a baller.

No sh*t? I might check that game out. -

I know some folks can be intimidated by the longer threads, but Dia Bell led a 31-point comeback win for his team last night. Quite the performance.

Of the 3 returning OL, Siereveld and Hinzman started all 4 CFP games and Montgomery rotated in the 1st two CFP games and started the last two versus Texas in the Cotton Bowl and in the ND national championship game. We've seen what they can do against the best fronts in college football on the biggest of stages with all the chips on the table at crunch time. They can play championship football

This will likely be the only time this year I watch Kansas or Fresno State. Make sure you DVR Sam Houston State for future reference.
