Texas vs. Ohio State: By the (betting) numbers

This morning I’ve been doing research on the betting side of things for Texas/Ohio State. Here are the betting statistics for the big season opener: - The public sides with the Horns on both the spread (65% of the money) and outright winner (a whopping 96% of the money). - The game is the most bet, by total money wagered, for all Week 1 games. - The matchup is the second most bet game, by number of bets, for Week 1, falling behind Alabama/FSU. - Both teams are the betting favorites (+550) to win the CFP. 19.5% of the total money is on Texas to win it all, while 8.7% is on Ohio State. - The Longhorns are responsible for 12.5% of all tickets to win the CFP, compared to 9.2% for the Buckeyes. - The largest bet on Texas to win the CFP is currently $300,000, which would pay $1.5 million. This is also the largest reported bet for a team to win the CFP, period.

It's a show where celebrities are asked questions about how they grew up, how they live, etc..and at the end they determine if you are classy or garbage. Comedy show is hilarious and interesting. Watch the Rob Lowe or Becky Lynch episodes if you get a chance.

Bertelsen had a family member send his game film to Royal to be recruited. At a homecoming dinner in Wisconsin, even LBJ attended. He lived in San Marcos until his recent passing. Think of him as an early version of Jonathan Brooks. Very smooth. I sure wish OTF would have Ted Koy and Bill Bradley on before it is too late. Maybe Duke Carlisle? They were the pioneers of great Texas football teams. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🏽🤘🤘🏾🤘🏿

Jake Kreul Interview
Burnt Orange Horn replied to Burnt Orange Horn's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Every Edge showed up Ojo in the 5⭐ camp. I do not know how Texas appraises Kreul, but a speedy Edge in the hand now would compliment Henderson if he flipped. Kreul wants Texas to push or he would be an OU commitment already. -
"There's nobody who's able to cut like Bijan in the NFL," Barkley said for the NFL Top 100 countdown. "There's not. You can go argue with your mom about that, I'll be honest. Trust me -- I love myself and I think I have great cuts, and there's nobody. The way he's able to -- his vision, his agility and he can catch the ball, too. So it's gonna get scary for a lot of people as he continues to figure it out." Also a shoutout to Edwin Freeman, the linebacker out of Arlington Bowie. He was one of my favorite recruits to cover. -

We are down to just 35 days before the season opener in Columbus. Which Texas player that donned No. 35 over the years is your favorite? An option today includes… Jim Bertelsen Bertelsen was a standout tailback during the wishbone era from 1969 to 1971. He played a key role in Texas’ success, including the 1969 and 1970 national championships, rushing for 2,510 yards and 33 touchdowns over his college career. Known for his speed and versatility, he was a two-time All-Southwest Conference selection and later played in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams.

Never heard of the second one, but I enjoy the other three… I’ll have to check that out.

I have a feeling we're not landing him, but what I've seen of him, he's very impressive. Great upside for an Edge prospect. I believe he was the one who gave Ojo the run around in that camp a few weeks back, no?
