  1. Past hour
  2. I remember when he was warming up he seemed to wince a little after a throw. I didn’t try to over think it but it would explain some of his clunky throws.
  3. Four failed fourth downs and only one score for the pre season #1 team is at least an offensive face plant imo.
  4. It was a one-score game for the vast majority of the game and the final score was 14-7.
  5. So reminiscent of Mack before VY. The talent to beat most teams but an inability to galvanize that talent to get the most out of them against the best teams. It took a QB from Madison HS to do that for Mack. Arch needs to step TF up and do it for Sark.
  6. I was taken aback because it's unlike other game plans we've seen from Sark in these big non-conference games. Even the Alabama game in Quinn's second start, Sark was aggressive.
  7. Arch was unexpectedly and alarmingly bad. Concerned with his mechanics. Odd side arm pushing motion vs his quick release. I was calling for arch over quinn last year. Super concerned that sark new manning wasn’t better than an injured quinn. We were worse than they were good. Also our backs have zero burst. I don’t get why we wouldn’t try a different back. There were holes missed because we were dancing and/or weren’t fast enough. Love wisner but he is not a rb1. Baxter is a good story but he’s running in quicksand right now. Looked good in pass pro at least. Maybe manning was a one-off. Not giving up but about as a bad loss for considering his arch looked.
  8. That's what part of the national narrative will be, yes. That's not what I believe, but it doesn't matter what I believe when it comes to people with big platforms giving their opinions.
  9. We lose 14-9 if we kick 3 times in FG range. Complain about whatever you want but going for it on 4th and 1 from the 1 foot line when an all a FG does is require you to score a TD later is dumb. Every other coach would have gone for it considering what Texas had shown offensively up to that point.
  10. The point about stepping up into the pocket is a positive, for sure. Arch eliminated a few chances Ohio State had to create negative plays.
  11. He hadn't been hit until today
  12. Sark knows too much about playing the position and developing elite QBs to not notice this and be bothered by it. I am genuinely confused by QB mechanics and development under Sark and Milwee at Texas.
  13. The gameplan wasn't "arrogant". It was conservative to protect against the the high probability that a young, inexperienced QB starting his first road game in the season opener vs the defending champs gets overwhelmed and plays poorly and makes lots of mistakes. That is exactly what happened and Texas was still in position to win the game but for a few plays that went the other way. Instead of getting blown out after turning the ball over several times.
  14. It wasn’t a great game for Arch, but I see a a lot of positives to build from. He does a great job of stepping up into the pocket. But he never could get on a rhythm. But with only 170 yards passing, he is already 3 yards behind Johnny Manziel in his Heisman Trophy winning season.
  15. Have to wonder if these mechanics are being taught to them by the staff at this point.
  16. On a positive note, OU’s RBs are only averaging 2.8 YPC on Illinois State right now
  17. I feel almost exactly the same way. Sark looked like he was playing this game knowing he could lose it and be ok.
  18. Love Hill and Simmons, but in these big games, they’ve mostly been M.I.A. They will flash for sure in the next few games, but I want them to make game changing plays in the big games. Can they do it against UF, OU, UGA, etc.?
  19. Yeah…I don’t know what’s up but it’s annoying that Sark clearly planned to limit Arch. Arch missed wide open plays and maybe if he makes those it doesn’t matter. But IMO (another idiot watching from a living room chair) Sark plays scared too often.
  20. The No. 1 team in the country face-planted on a massive stage to open the season Really?
  21. Arch doesn’t like the TE. It was open all day. One read. Bad throw
  22. I don't get the quasi meltdown. Arch's problems weren't that bad. Look at Bama's Simpson.
  23. Wake me up when sec play starts. Hearing more hype train as Simmons gets three sacks on san Jose state doesn't excite me until they can win big games as well.
  24. less interviews and commercials and more hitting receivers in the hands not the feet
  25. I think Arch was just gripping the ball too tight and I don’t blame him. I don’t care what you say- there’s no way he doesn’t feel additional pressure this game and season. He’ll loosen up and hit the easy throws which will open everything else up. remember- we had no tape in their offense or defense and going against my Pats Matt Patricia and some crazy great defense and schemes. It will get better. has to get better
  26. Anything to the rumor floating that Arch is dealing with a shoulder injury?
