Chris Jackson will accompany AJ Milwee on Thursday for a second trip to Waxahachie. 26 WR Kohen Brown recently decommitted from USC. Texas keeping him warm for now, with no offer coming just yet. We will see if that changes on Thursday. -
I don’t mind the noon kickoff. It’ll keep those jort wearing, battery throwing, dumpster burning imbeciles from getting out of control.

I used to like Gus Johnson, but I think he's let the notoriety he's received over the years for his crazy calls in big moments get to his head. It just seems like he's forcing them now instead of having a authentic reaction. Joel Klatt and the all American Jenny Taft are solid I agree. Nonetheless, it's a good thing this game is played at high noon instead of at night.

6–5 and 301 pounds. Tech just offered. Good looking cat. -
Was on a Fox presentation, it's now official as expected. Just like Michigan last year, time to kick some ass early in the AM! I do love Joel Klatt and my girl Jenny Taft so I don't mind the noon kickoff that much.. hook em!

Landry is probably a “both” rather than “defense”. While he played defense and was the DC for the Giants, he called plays for Dallas, reinvented the Shotgun and pioneered motion.
-
Probably still be evaluated.

Your question is exactly why I wanted to do this. It's an interesting discussion! I didn't know much about Halas prior to putting this together this morning. He won but gosh dog he seemed like an unbearable person that no one would ring in because he owned the team. lol
-
It's funny that you bring this up. I asked the same question on C&F today. Both Bobby and Gerry thought it didn't matter.
-
I don't know how good he is, but that name alone would look good on the roster. Also, that Tank kid.
- Today
-
He has a cousin named Mike Hunt.
-
Is he related to Mike?
-
DJ N started following Titus Hawk
-
Have yall heard if Texas would be interested in the 6'7 tight end out of Choctaw Ok Titus Hawk? I've seen he has been getting a lot of offers. I believe he is a 2027.

2027 Waxahachie EDGE Sedrick Marsh Jr. is blowing up. Just received A&M this morning. 6-5 edge rusher... Didn't see much varsity action last fall. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/23042299/6750dd599405b796319f7738 -

First stop this week is at Wacahachie High a bit south of Dallas. Plenty of talent, headlined by 2026 WR Kohen Brown, who just decomitted from USC. 2027 QB Jerry Meyer III is a really interesting quarterback prospect to keep tabs on. Texas visited a week ago and is set to return on Thursday for one final look. 2027 DB JayQuan Snell is a huge DB prospect next cycle. He reminds me a ton of Jelani McDonald from a physicality and measurables perspective. He visited in early April.

Baseball: No. 1 Texas vs. Florida game thread (Sunday)
Steindam Hall replied to Jeff Howe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
There’s a good chance. Only LSU and Arkansas can possibly catch us. But… We’ve already really clinched vs LSU, as even if we don’t win again and LSU wins out, we’d end up tied, and we swept the series against them… giving UT the tiebreaker. Our magic number over Arkansas is two. Arkansas hosts a VERY capable Tennessee squad for their last three games. Any combo of Texas wins and Arkie losses, adding up to two is a UT outright SEC Championship. If the same “magic total” is just one, we end in a tie with Arkie, but they swept us and would own the tiebreaker. Sooo… even if TX loses the OU series 1-2, they still win the SEC if Arkansas doesn’t SWEEP a very good Tennessee team. If OU breaks out the brooms and Texas limps out of the season that way, Arkansas must at least win their Tennessee series 2-1 to claim a tie & win via the tiebreaker. -
I researched this once and I believe Jimbo was the last to do it in 2013 as you noted. Prior to that I believe it was Steve Spurrier and Tom Osbourne in the 90s. There is some debate about Pete Carroll at USC in 2003/2004 but I couldn't find anything definitive regarding that but I do know that Norm Chow was his OC. So you essentially have only 3 coaches in the past 35 years to do it, 4 if you include Pete Carroll.

Offensive or Defensive Head Coaches
qaertyisthatdude replied to Hashtag's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Out of curiosity, if Sark wins a natty this upcoming season, would he be the first HC that called his own offensive or defensive plays to win it all? I believe Jimbo was the offensive playcaller in 2013 when he won it all, but I would have to research and find out. -
While LaVell's teams had really good offenses he cut his teeth and came up on the defensive side as he was BYU's defensive coordinator before becoming HC.
