How many have rewatched the SEC championship game and the tOSU game? Quinn takes a lot of criticism for that game, but if we're being honest we lost those games because there was plays to be made that was left on the feild. We look at Quinn's rating coming out of high-school and judge him on that instead of where the game is and his skillset. So 58 days from now and I'm excited. Arch may not live up to the hype, I'm actually betting that he doesn't. The expectations are so high that anything less than a natty is considered a failure. When the reality is this team lost a lot, but this is the first time in Sark's era that Texas is suited to play a modern game. We have a qb that can extend plays, make plays with his legs, and a big accurate down feild cannon. Sure the intermediate stuff and timing/precision throws needs improvement. All in all, I don't know if Texas wins it all, but they have the roster and talent to do so in the modern game of college football.

Texas wanted Rerick back and the coaches were excited about his future. That was the word the day before the news of him entering the portal dropped. I don’t think this was something the staff forced.

I may be off on this but seems like Schloss and staff are now honing in on their “type of players”. The one thing that always jumped out at me with Rerick was he always played emotional. He was really fiery when doing good but when he didn’t have it his emotions were clearly keeping him from being able to get pasted the rough start. That’s not the type of player that Schloss likes. I’m spitballing here but maybe Schloss and Weiner didn’t feel like he could get passed the emotional aspect.

More concerned about December than I am July. So, if we had hit on everyone, but they bailed prior to signing day, would you feel better?

FWIW - in the case of the most recent losses, yes, I know both sides of the coin. Admittedly, I do not know all of those from last year. Reporting on NIL offers will become a more common thing, especially as schools can start putting their offers in writing on August 1.

Good question. Here’s why: Because the preponderance of NIL spent previously came from what the NCAA and House Settlement deem as “associated entities”, i.e. collectives and/or business specifically related to Texas. According to the House Settlement, those associated entities are now regulated by NIL Go and must pass fair market value tests, of which 70-90pct would have been thrown out last year, according to Deloitte.

Always a fair question. But Sark and Brandon Harris don’t seem to panic, no matter the situation. Not in high school recruiting and not in the portal.
