  3. Our remaining players carrying arch after he’s taken his 1929387 hit this fall
  4. Just think how mad everyone would be if this fella was still kickin’….
  5. Jeff Banks is out on the trail tonight. Banks is out seeing Libertyville (Ill.) High TE Brock Williams. Williams visited Texas in November For the game against Arkansas. Texas has a tight end in the class with JT Geraci, but Williams has remained a priority.
  6. Unfortunate, enjoyed having Simon's dad on Coffee & Football when y'all did. Seems like a good kid and good family that seemed to get "the process" and be patient. My how the times are changing fast.
  7. I’ve seen enough pics of Gerry and Joe Z, I don’t need anymore!!
  8. IDGAF about Coleman, give us some o-line and lb please
  9. Well done. Both a Great comment and well done to describe the brisket.
  10. So far he’s cooked up a Lincoln Riley-esque brisket
  11. Winston is 2nd team in 12 personnel and could now move to 1st in passing situations. Simon certainly has a decision to make and has been weighing that.
  12. Honest question for the chat….if you were sark, seeing all of this madness and college football being as off the rails as it is. Wouldn’t you take one swing with Arch in 26 and get the hell out of dodge and go to the league to be a HC if you had the opportunity? I would HATE to lose him but also couldn’t blame him either
  13. That’s some of why Texas changed its recruiting tactics mid year.
  14. Flood will have had more OLs selected here in his first five years than the last 15 combined.
  15. lol why even recruit “developmental” prospects if no is going to sit for more than 2 years. It’s going to be a very tricky balance moving forward for the staff. Ik we talk about these cats being 3rd string but that depth still matters in college. Texas has rarely stayed fully healthy in a season, hope everything works itself out though.
  16. Wisconsin LB?? Did he die?
  17. Yes you are crazy. We can maybe be 8-4/9-3 at best with a great defense and Arch going Superman. But we absolutely need an OL, an above average RB, and a WR that is proven to make big plays if we want to be the in CFP
  18. This reads like an AI trying to make sense of the facts. But the conclusions here are wrong. You need to pay HS "dead money" to recruit, retain, and develop- so that they can become the Colin Simmons and Arch Mannings that the portal will never see. Gerry has said this. We just let one of those cats go in Bo Barnes. Depth is absolutely necessary to pay for and keep in any CFB season. Texas is following a cap that many other schools are straight up ignoring. So they risked everything by letting go of half the offense and defensive depth in order to pay for the biggest portal prospects, which have all used Texas for home raises, 0-6 for hits so far. So like Gerry said, Texas is now left holding the bag.
  19. it seems to be all about the money money money
