  1. Past hour
  2. Have to include someone from the BMW team, probably Travis Mays
  3. What was the sad ending?
  4. BJ Tyler was a freak athletically ... great great prospect. Sad ending to the hoops part
  5. Max Abmas reminded me of AJ Abrams a bit. The time really does fly by. I remember having the college basketball video game back in the day with TJ Ford on the cover. One of the best point guards I've seen. A faster Ed Cota who could score.
  6. Great lists all around. Love seeing these names. Not a consideration for Mount Rushmore but I was a huge AJ Abram’s fan. Mr baggy shorts drilling 3s
  7. We shall see on that. CDC isn't going to hire him, and not provide him a real opportunity. There is something coming soon on the NIL front at Texas, outside the rev share.
  8. I tossed my UT hat on the ground right after Gideon dropped a game clinching INT and then threw it to the ground again right after Crabtree caught a game winning TD against us. I guess I’m a Longhorn disrespecting a-hole. Some of yall take this recruiting thing too seriously.
  9. Today
  10. He doesn't make Rushmore but Daniel Gibsons era of Texas was a lot of fun.. Tucker, Aldridge, brad buckman etc. Under Sean Miller, should start seeing loaded teams like that again...
  11. While this is great to hear, it also feels like we may have brought him in a little late as now NIL/pay-for-play seems to be the only factor in recruiting and Texas won't pay what the Kansas, Dukes or Kentuckys pay. Hell, we won't even get close to the likes of BYU, Oregon or Texas Tech.
  12. For me at least there are 3 slots that are indisputable: Ford, Durant and Augustin. The last spot has a lot of guys that I struggle to decide between for various reasons: BJ Tyler - 1st Texas basketball player that I vividly remember. PJ Tucker - To me was the heart & soul of the '06 Elite Eight team even moreso than LA because LA left a little to be desired while I felt Tucker got everything out of his talent. Andrew Jones - For everything he went through off the court and everything he did to get back on the court for Texas plus the kid bleeds burnt orange. Sir'Jabari Rice - Heart & soul of the last elite 8(should've been final four) team. Tremendous leader. Honorable Mention: Brock Cunningham - Played at Texas for what seermed like 10 years under 3 head coaches and bled burnt orange. Represented Texas tough even if it sometimes drifted into the gray areas.
  13. DJs spin move was ridiculous. Underrated.
  14. DJ was damn good… no doubt. Got a paycheck for many years.
  15. In terms of at Texas … I really believe DJ Augustin will always be undervalued Led Texas to E8 winning Bob Cousy Award, first team All-American … lottery pick Stellar two year college career IMO
  16. From your keyboard to the basketball gods ears…
  17. Penders will always have a place in my heart after trying to support Kaiser Bob era for too many games… rough. From Abe Lemons to Weltlich(sp?) was a horrible move. Our entire roster jumped ship after being in the top 5 when Mike Wacker’s knee exploded. 6 and 7 win seaaons… BAD. I forgot about Mike Wacker! … and George Mueller… Seriously though… Mike Wacker was a stud before his knee injury and that team was as good as any we have had when they were in full health. When Wacker went down we had the worst collapse of any team I can think of … Texas or otherwise. Wacker deserves serious consideration. He was also about the only player who stayed though he played on essentially one leg forevermore.
  18. I did one for Texas and the NBA. Covered all the bases 😉
  19. Sean Miller is receiving very good feedback back from the AAU and coaching community in the state. I have little doubt he will do very well at Texas. Terrific coach, and very focused on goals with the opportunity to complete a resume in next 6-8 years
  20. Yes sir inducted in 1982. It is the basketball hall of fame so it encompasses college, pro, international etc contributions to the game.
  21. Was specifically related to the OPs list. He somehow listed his best players ever. It was the best players at Texas.
  22. BMW the ultimate scoring machine…
  23. Jordan is on the list. Rushmore means 4.
  24. Maybe Mt Bonnell… not Rushmore.
  25. Travis Mays would have had a very good NBA career if not for the injuries. He may be my favorite ever because he came from Florida to a sorry team and brought it up from the ashes to create the most exciting version of Texas basketball ever with Blanks, Wright, Collie, Myers and the rest.
  26. Reggie Freeman, TJ Ford, KD, Tre Johnson
