  1. Past hour
  2. Glad to see him get promoted and to go 3 for 6 in his first game with a grand salami. I hope those other three at bats aren't a lingering issue- they were all strikeouts.
  3. Now imagine the number with a few more National Championships
  4. A&M in recent years may have spent more on facilities and coaches than the entire program is actually worth.
  5. Today
  6. I think one of the portal OLs was from Rice?
  7. As long as gooner is scrapping by to the tune of 7-5 or 8-4 seasons to keep BV gainfully employed and committing to the Nagy recruiting strategy of unearthing those no 🌟 high school gems then I'm all for it! 😅🤘🏼🤣 gooner gooner 🖕🏽 ou!
  8. That play was insane. It should be an all-timer regardless of circumstances, but you throw in the magnitude of the game and it is off the charts, imo. Johnnie Johnson and Michael Griffin are my co #27's. Fantastic players, among the best in the history of DBU (Ray Clay is on deck.😉)
  9. I am moving things around my man cave but here are some photos of my Texas collection. threw a couple at the end that are non Texas related 🤘🏼
  10. Let’s all be honest. That hire wouldn’t have happened had Brent gone 10-2 last year.
  11. I’ve researched organizational dynamics and best practices for almost two decades and one of the foundational principles of effective organizations is to avoid stovepipes. Stovepiped organizations tend to lack effective communication and coordination, lack a shared sense of culture, lack effective oversight and the ability to adjudicate disputes between the two sides. From an organizational dynamics perspective, OU has created the potential for a train wreck.
  12. I know there’s been a lot of talk about the hiring of Jim Nagy as GM and what that means for Brent Venables. @Gerry Hamilton stated multiple times that Venables may not be the one in charge, and that Nagy may be the one calling the shots. It was also pointed out that Jim Nagy was the only GM that was present at SEC media days out of all the schools. But one thing that I found extremely interesting that hasn’t been brought up yet was how Venables was referring to Nagy during his time at the podium at SEC media days. I listed some quotes here below: “Love Jim Nagy, love HIS staff.” “He hired HIS last few guys, just several weeks ago.” “What I love about Jim and HIS staff… “THEY care about people, THEY love building things, and THEY work well together. THEY’VE got those types of skills.” The way he’s talking, it does not sound like a cohesive unit. Like two guys that are working separately instead of lock and step together. Instead of using we/us/ours, he’s using him/they/them. That may have been the biggest sign that things are fractured within the OU football program and that BV most likely answers to Nagy, instead of the other way around. And of course, this is all in stark contrast to the way that Sark speaks about Brandon Harris and the entire player personnel staff. It’s very clear that the Texas brass has the correct structure in place and that Sark is the head of our program. Thank God for that and Hook ‘Em Horns 🤘🏼
  13. Is Arch practicing against 1rst - 5 rnds draftable defense?
  14. True. An advantage we have is that Arch is mobile and Sayin is not. The could be big if the OLs are not ready. tOSU’s other QB is mobile but a limited passer.
  15. Sarks recruitin Strategy….. simple…. Whoop Florida in front all those recruits 2026… 2027… 2028 Hammer Georgia in likewise scenario.. doesnt mean we get their recruits …. But it will mean they definitely gonna have poney up more NIL in a Oregon kinda way to hold on to what they have! God forbid if Napier has 8 wins…. whose to say Trenton Henderson ( LSU) and Fitzpatrick ( georgia)dont show up as guests to that game. Or Cantwell OT ( Miami) Sarks gonna throw salt in the wounds w Ga n Fl playing all those players from Fl ….. it will be Texas size Recruitin fest on par of SEc media days!
  16. Michael Griffin's toe-tap INT in the 2006 Rose Bowl in the 2nd quarter to stop Texas from going down 14-3, will always be one of the greatest Longhorn interceptions. Grabbed momentum there that helped us be up at half 16-10.
  17. Reading practice reports on what might be the preseason #1, with the preseason Heisman favorite, definitely reminds me of the worst period in the history of Texas football.
