  1. Past hour
  2. Interesting for sure. Quality vertical athlete for sure. Not the same lateral athlete
  3. For a guy that can shoot the 3, & jump through the roof, Heide wasn't a great defender.
  4. Bo Ogden will be in the rotation next season, but yes need more than just one great shooter
  5. Some portal decisions are baffling, much like this one: 1) Why wouldn't Texas want him back as a role player if status quo? 2) I think Texas would want him back if all things status quo, so Heide must have asked for more NIL? 3) Why would Heide think he's going to get more NIL and playing time somewhere else? It's just strange to think what goes on in these kids heads and/or their agents. Everyone is looking for one more dollar. Makes being a fan and I'm sure a coach, totally insane. I expected the Wilcher one, he just didn't seem to fit. Codie is disappointing as he seemed to find a niche in the tourney, but Heide is completely baffling. Rinse and repeat with the one and done's each year seems to be the norm now.
  6. I'm not going to tell the story of how it went down ... NIL and portal are a wild ride ... it's a wow!
  7. When you say "Texas decision", what does that look like exactly? I would imagine you take Heide back for free as a role player on the bench. Would they have wanted a significant NIL pay cut from last year? Tell him someone else was gonna have the majority of his minutes? It's hard to follow the NIL world when everything is so opaque.
  8. Let me add this ... This was a Texas decision apparently. They have to feel good about a role player out of portal within the last 18 hours
  9. Not a new offer (he already has one) but a visitor today:
  10. 2028 4-star safety Jalen Flowers Film: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/23119924/68d1b918241dd35b1ab7d751
  11. He might want a bigger role and/or a bigger NIL deal than we could afford. He would have been a nice role player to have back, but I'm not that too surprised by this. His playing time was cut down toward the end of the year. I will always remember the big shot he made to beat Gonzaga. I hope he lands in a great spot with plenty of playing time in his senior year.
  12. Welp, sorry to lose him, but don’t let the door hit you in the Heide. Sorry, couldn’t help it .
  13. 2028 4-star CB from California Film: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/22639822/68be2b9cc61c168b949281f9
  14. Damn I actually wanted to see him come back. I know he wasn't perfect but thought there was some room for growth next year.
  15. They continue to do stuff like this and then get butthurt when people rightfully clown them. It's wild to see a group of people over generations with no self awareness. They know they have so few accomplishments in over 100 years, that they have to celebrate just participating in something. Pathetic group of people. (I wanna send this to my Aggie friend, but I know he'll be overly defensive about it)
  16. Today
  17. Texas forward Camden Heide is the program's first unexpected departure to the NCAA transfer portal. Jonathan Giovny of Draft Express first reported Heide's intent to enter the portal on Thursday. On Texas Football expected Heide to be a part of Sean Miller's club for the 2026-27 season, which will be Heide's last in college basketball after playing two seasons at Purdue before joining the Longhorns for the 2025-26 campaign. After playing in 75 career games for the Boilermakers, Heide saw action in 35 games for Texas. As a Longhorn, Heide set career-high marks for games started (29), scoring (5.9 points per game), assists (23), steals (15), 3-pointers made (49) and 3-point percentage (45.4). Heide made one of the most memorable plays of the season, hitting a 3-pointer from the corner with 14.7 seconds left in regulation to help Texas secure a 74-68 NCAA Tournament win over Gonzaga. The Longhorns finished the season in the Sweet 16, dropping a 79-77 decision to Purdue, with Heide scoring three points and grabbing five rebounds in 24 minutes. With Heide gone and Nic Codie both entering the transfer portal, Matas Vokietaitis is the only experienced frontcourt player returning to Texas for Miller's second season. John Clark and Lewis Obiorah are expected to return after both big men redshirted this past season. Before Heide's departure was known, sources told OTF that the power forward position is one the Longhorns were looking to upgrade with a transfer portal acquisition. View full news story

  19. I think it's a lot of low key jealousy and clicks type situation, in a lot of places. This is also the NIL era, and girls have the same motivations as the guys, in regards to, earning potential and minutes. Vic signed a helluva class and I guarantee you these ladies were looking over their shoulders a bit. Maybe some girls felt Maddy got too much of the shine and not enough of the blame until she had the bad game...maybe the exit meetings didn't go so well, who knows. What I do know is.... this responsibility, representing the University of Texas, will not be bestowed upon the weak or timid. 🤘🏿🔥✊🏿
