Fair point — I get the career ladder logic. Every coach wants to climb from assistant to coordinator to head guy and cash in when the time’s right. But let’s not act like Stillwater is some golden opportunity right now. Boone Pickens isn’t around writing blank checks anymore, and OSU’s wallet suddenly looks a lot thinner when the donor dust settles. If I’m Collin Klein, I’m thinking long and hard before trading stability for a gig where you’ve got to rebuild an offense with duct tape and hope the Powerball hits to fund NIL and facility upgrades. Major might fit there, sure — but only if he’s bringing his own checkbook and a bottle of Tums.

This one feels like an early-kick rock fight. Vanderbilt’s tough enough to make Texas earn it, but let’s be real — they’re walking into a bad matchup. Texas’ defense has started to click again, and when that front seven brings pressure the way they did against OU, it changes everything. On offense, Sark isn’t reinventing the wheel. Whether it’s Arch or Caldwell, the plan stays the same: get the ball out fast, stay balanced, and let the playmakers go to work. It doesn’t have to be flashy — it just has to be efficient. Vandy might hang in for a while, but the depth, the home crowd, and the overall talent gap should start to tilt things Texas’ way by the fourth quarter. This team has been learning how to win the hard way, and that experience pays off in games like this. Texas 28, Vanderbilt 21 — and honestly, why would I pick anyone besides Texas?

Bad News for YouTube TvAlex Butler replied to Texas fan in Georgia's topic in On Texas Football Forum This is the same s&*t that happened with directv a couple of years ago right before the big 12 championship game. I switched to youtubetv then and have loved how long the recordings last, but the last few months with all the disputes are ridiculous. I’m with everyone else on here stop telling me you’re acting in my best interest and Disney is evil. You’re freaking owned by google. Pay up and you’ll make it up with advertising, but the little guy is getting stretched way too thin all over the place.

GJ Kinne not having the type of season to elevate Eric Morris has age and what have you done for me lately on his side Traylor is easily the most successful coach of the three with 2 C-USA titles, multiple state titles as a HC coach and having proven he can build and lead programs. But he is also the oldest of the goup, and likely 7-5 this season in the what have you done for me lately.

Bad News for YouTube TvTuco Ramirez replied to Texas fan in Georgia's topic in On Texas Football Forum I’m tired of getting gouged by YouTube TV, Disney, etc. YouTube tv increased prices by 14% earlier this year to pay for content. They’ve since had outages with Fox and now ABC/Disney/ESPN. I have no qualms about pirating.

Just a daily reminder that all coaches are ego fueled hypocrites. Traylor last night complained about the “total disrespect” Sumrall and Tulane showed UTSA by implying they pipe in noise at the stadium. Oh Jeff. Let me take you back to 2022 when you did the same thing about DKR, even getting in a little heated conversation with Sark at midfield whining about piped in noise.

Prayers for a great Longhorn fan needed4thandFive replied to General Grant's topic in On Texas Football Forum Sorry for his family & friends. Death is the inevitable step in life, unless the Lord comes while we’re here. It’s a good time to remember that life is short (James 4:14) and it’s imperative to ensure that your soul is safe in Jesus (Matthew 7:21). If anybody ever wants to talk about their spiritual life & the Lord, feel free to reach out.

Prayers for a great Longhorn fan neededJc Dobbs replied to General Grant's topic in On Texas Football Forum Thanks MBHORNSFAN. I'll be 72 next month and I can truly say Scott Wilson was the most unique person and personality I ever met. He added to my joy at UT '72-'78. RIP Scott Wilson. My best friend and his wife used to sit with me and my family in Section 26U at DKR. At his insistence, his family and friends sang The Eyes of Texas to conclude his funeral service. RIP Mark and Wife Mary Scott and Mark were the best Longhorns fans I have ever known. Honored to have known them. Mark agreed that Scott was the #1 Texas fan. The last words Scott ever spoke to me were, "Don't Be A Stranger." Wow. God Bless Scott.

Bad News for YouTube TvArizonaLonghorn replied to Texas fan in Georgia's topic in On Texas Football Forum Yep, but I've watched three games on YouTube pirate sites this season (including last week's against Mississippi State) and the quality is good. There was only one interruption. YouTube doesn't seem to be very aggressive about removing them for some reason. This is far better than the scam pirate sites that set off alarms on my anti-virus and uBlock Origin apps or extensions. I'll be watching the Vandy game on ABC since I still have cable.
