  1. Past hour
  2. Ethan Burke says the goal of the Texas defense is to force three turnovers each game.
  3. Liona Lefau says it was unfortunate his hands hit the facemask of an OSU OL. Was trying to shed a block and his hands got too high.
  4. I love Baxter. He has come back from an awful lot. But how come nobody else got a shot? Baxter isn’t fast.
  5. Yep. And his lack of red zone prowess goes back to his days at the Falcons. It’s not a new thing. For all our portal acquisitions go get a damn fullback and run it up peoples ass inside the five. Nothing ever changes. It’s asinine.
  6. My two favorite CJs. Glad to see him healthy, his blitz pickup was huge.
  7. I can't wait to see Christian Clark play too. Also, Graceson Littleton was outstanding. He looked like one of the best players on the field as a true freshman. He definitely has the advertised quickness.
  8. I actually thought Joel Klatt described it best. The playcalling was static.
  9. CJ Baxter: "We will bounce back, it is a super long season."
  10. CJ Baxter says he felt comfortable back returning kicks and said the value of special teams in the program is key and he wanted to be a big piece of that third of the ball.
  11. They are so unsure of their identity in the red zone. That area is when the great Vince Lombardi would say they know what we're running but we will out execute them and he'd stick to his bread and butter. Sark seemingly rushes into stuff that is obvious.
  12. Definitely some big positives: 1. Run D was impressive for the most part. 2. Only 1 big play given up. Guilbeau may be replaced by Black/Phillips before too much longer. 3. Offensive line was the best my eyes have seen in a long time for Texas. Arch wasn't under pressure for most of the game and opened good lanes for running. 4. Punter may be the second coming of Dickson. Some big concerns: 1. Arch not accurate at all for much of the game, especially the short and intermediate. 2. Receivers struggled mightily getting open for much of the game. 3. Not seeing much in terms of a true game breaker on the team. There's no one that looks like they can just take off and score at any time.
  13. Dude. He lost ONE game. Let’s give him some time. 🤣
  14. Arch Manning says it was man coverage on the INT, and he forced it. Says he wish he took off or found someone else.
  15. Ethan Burke: “this isn’t the end of our journey” Burke says he is pumped to get back to work on Monday and Tuesday.
  16. Yeah you go for it there every time. Unfortunately it ended up exactly like 2023 Red River and 2024 Cotton Bowl. Zero improvement in our ability to punch it in against a good defense.
  17. We can actually run the ball between the tackles this year. We made holes consistently. 5 yoc for Wisner and 4 for Baxter who is clearly not fully healthy yet. If the QB can start hitting the broad side of a barn, we will be dangerous. If this is Arch's worst game after finally showing some life in that 4th quarter, I'll take it. Never felt this good after a loss. I mean, we were flat out better on the line of scrimmage against the defending champs. It's not a bad place to start. Also, NO major injuries. The noncon games are glorified scrimmages. Especially game 1, I don't think it will be held against us much when it comes to CFP seeding. Just need to get it done in the Swamp and go win the SEC.
  18. He did him no favors early on with the playcalling to get him going especially on the road.
  19. Then why didn't we give it to him on the goal line?
  20. Everything was good enough - with the exceptions of Sark and Arch
  21. Was thinking the same!
