I see the need in the WR room being higher for a burner that can take the top off the D. Cam is really really good but more resembles what we hope we can get out of Wingo and what we're already getting out of Parker, a tall lanky contested catch guy with a wide catch radius. With Wingo, Livingstone and Mosely all back I think you're basically judging whether Ffrench or Lockett can be the missing piece (if they can't then attrition from them is not a problem) and then you move to the portal to see who you can flush in there that helps provide NFL burner level speed to go along with everyone we have back. In this NIL / portal era you have to rip the bandaid pretty quickly on bad-evaluations and five star receivers who don't come in wowing people probably fall into that category.

If his agent is Mulugheta as the article says, no way we get him. Yes, he’s represented a bunch of Horns, but David has been getting record setting deals done in the NFL regularly from every position. I don’t see that working in our favor unless he convinces him that Texas could boost his stock best for the NFL BIG money. I’ve been around him enough to know that probably ain’t happening.

Texas has a sure fire “beat Saban in Tuscaloosa” opportunity next week. HookEm and BeatGeorgia

I hope this isn’t another jinx

Yup, that’s how it’s played out this season. We’re a slump buster for bad defenses and a tough out for great defenses haha.

Not sure there is a better Wr core than Tennessse. Tall … fast and catch! Impressive Terry, French and Lockett ???? Is the talent there?

Haha love it, man Sounds like your house is straight-up divided but still full of college pride. Gotta respect that mix: Raiders, Aggies, Razorbacks and Horns all under one roof? That’s wild!!! I’m with you though and can’t wait for kickoff , three weeks feels like forever right now -

I meant in largely in jest although I’d suspect Kirby put in some off season work on Texas. Them having MSU this week works to our benefit. They can’t blow them off and still win. -

Looking forward to listening to the podcast of you and Rod on Saturday. Beating Georgia in Athens would be another program-defining moment for Sark 🤘🏽 -

Texas mentioned in article.

Not happening, time to move on!

That’s a $3,000,000 ask right there. A&M would kill any depth if they got that done.

My concern is that too much credit is being given to unproven players. At RB, I love Baxter, but outside of pass pro has he really shown that he can be a #1 RB? I haven't seen it consistently yet. And what exactly has James Simon proven? I like our stable of RBs, but outside Wisner, I have yet to see anyone opposing DCs worry about. And we still don't have a home run threat. None of our RBs are pure RBs who can hit a crease and take it to the house against an SEC defense. I know Wingo has started to come on, and Mosely looks like a complete WR, but if you have a chance to grab a proven burner in the portal, I think you have to take it. I know they are 5 stars, but outside McClutcheon, what have the freshmen shown you? And the OL. Stroh, Kibble, Neto, and Brooks all scare me, being in the lineup for what might be Arch's last year. I can't believe we are even talking about this. Until all of them were removed, Arch was getting killed. And we are supposed to trust that they are gonna get better. They have not earned that at all in my opinion. I think you need to bring in at least one IOL that is a proven, seasoned veteran. If we had signed Pregnon, the state of our OL would have been greatly improved this year. I'm saying you bring in 4, but 1 definitely, and maybe 2. On D, I think you must bring in an S. And maybe a CB too. I think we are promising young players the chance to be the guy and play early, and that is hurting us. I don't think we need to build completely through the portal, but I think we need to get help where we can.

Yep, definitely.

I can see aggy going all in for a guy once committed to them

I don’t see how Coleman happens unless the WR room is completely re-worked. Not sure Texas wants to do that.
-
It depends on why he was running or what he was running from.
-
What intrigues me is we might them. Game 49 of the year against vandy before we hue strong the receivers can be. Started with 200 potential yards for Wingo against msst. I think that room is good enough to win if all. Oline, dline, and one elite cb for me.

Only comes if the chance to win outweighs the bag. He’d have to take a legitimate haircut. One, I’d never ask or try to influence someone to take. Real money would be loss.
