So Indiana has 2 JR starting guards (one from Austin westlake) and they signed the guard from Wisconsin.

NIL plus he was probably going to play guard at Texas this year. He was recruited as a OT and doesn’t want to play IOL.

UT offers almost unlimited undergraduate degrees including: Religious Studies, Philosophy, French Studies, German Studies, etc. etc. Not sure what kind of “real job market” exists for those degrees. I know numerous people making extremely good money in professions that have nothing to do with their undergraduate degree. Company required college degree, not a specific college degree. I don’t know what the answers are to fix the current wild west of CFB, but I think it’s great these guys are getting to experience college and a chance to earn a degree.

More the historical data that more than 30% of portal entrance s dont go anywhere. That is a huge problem for college sports

I know Sark & Co have done well. I know our WR & RB situation is vastly improved and that might even mitigate lesser IOL play. But I really want/wanted an OG. Hope something still happens. TECHNICALLY we have Baker and Sykorski. Don’t know how that changes the game.

@Gerry Hamilton saw AJ Tuitele entered the portal from usc. Wasnt that the lb Texas went after late in recruiting last year?

He was a true freshman so texas was his first school. In hs he moved around because his parents.

I think Spence is playing the Mike either way considering the only other college ready Mike we have is Juice Cryer.

LG was an issue last year because we didn't use the portal. I don't want that to be the case again. Key priorities imo... 1 OG experienced and good enough to start 1 Mike LB good enough to start or rotate and/or 1 Edge good enough to rotate (this addition could free up Spence to play Mike LB)
