  1. Past hour
  2. I get it, but until we see him on the field then that's all we have to talk about. Only the coaches can decide when that is. How many centers are ready to start in year two? Probably not many
  3. Following his coach to Auburn?
  4. I'm hopeful about Cruz the way Gerry talks about him, but at this point I'm tired of talking about potential.
  5. Both Gerry and CJ have reported that the staff is very happy with his development. Offensive lineman take time to bake more than any other position, especially at center
  6. The Post presser looked and sounded like the same Elko after Texas. Miami pretty much did the same thing to them defensively as we did. We just waited a quarter to adjust. They got by with a super easy schedule this year. Next year, will be tough for them.
  7. The fact Cruz has not cracked the starting lineup is yet another failure on Flood either from a recruiting standpoint or a developer. He had all his eggs on Cruz given we didn't recruit any other centers the last few years. It's one of the reasons for the failure this year and might affect us next year to an extent as well if we don't get an experienced center from the portal. If Cruz turned out to be a solid player, he would have gotten his growing pains out this year and we'd be going into next year with a solid line. Now it's almost as much of a question mark as it was last off season.
  8. I thought Quinn had a good game for his first one. They didn't really give him great opportunities to get TDs since they opted to run near the goal line so statistically it didn't look great. The game got out of hand in the early 3rd qtr when the defense was getting demolished so Quinn was pressing more that resulted in some forced plays that resulted in the 2 INTs. The INTs weren't that bad too. Throwing it up on a 50/50 for Waddle is understandable and the throw across the middle was a great play by the CB. Those are solid NFL like decisions by a QB. What's funny is I thought the crazy throw to the TE was actually a bad decision. Funny how the narratives are only based on the results. Cincy doesn't have a good pass rush so that was a pretty ideal scenario for him but he looked solid. He'll have to at least throw a TD or 2 if he wants to have any chance to really contend for the starting spot, but I'm glad McDaniel is giving him opportunity to develop because these backups normally don't get that chance. Hopefully he doesn't have to play in the snow next week.
  9. Something tells me Daniel Cruz has not developed in the way we had hoped. Whether he stays or goes, my bet is we see plenty of experience at that position next season.
  10. Must have not gotten the nfl feedback he wanted. I assume that means we have someone in mind we think we will get.
  11. Best of luck to him...great teammate from everything out there.
  12. I thought he declared for the NFL draft?
  13. Sigh there is already a portal thread on guys leaving Texas
  14. Good luck Brodie! love!
  15. Expected. Wish him luck.
  16. Surprisingly there are not many more than just these.
  17. That sucks but not unexpected. Wish him the best…unless he goes to an sec school.
  18. Today
  19. Sark isn’t going to trot out a first time starting center in Arch’s final season, especially after last season’s o line debacle.
  20. WR DeAndre Moore has entered the portal. Originally it was expected Moore would declare for the NFL Draft. Altogether, the common theme was that Moore was not expected back at Texas in 2026.
  21. What I put on the Michigan 247 board earlier....
