For me at least there are 3 slots that are indisputable: Ford, Durant and Augustin. The last spot has a lot of guys that I struggle to decide between for various reasons: BJ Tyler - 1st Texas basketball player that I vividly remember. PJ Tucker - To me was the heart & soul of the '06 Elite Eight team even moreso than LA because LA left a little to be desired while I felt Tucker got everything out of his talent. Andrew Jones - For everything he went through off the court and everything he did to get back on the court for Texas plus the kid bleeds burnt orange. Sir'Jabari Rice - Heart & soul of the last elite 8(should've been final four) team. Tremendous leader. Honorable Mention: Brock Cunningham - Played at Texas for what seermed like 10 years under 3 head coaches and bled burnt orange. Represented Texas tough even if it sometimes drifted into the gray areas.

Penders will always have a place in my heart after trying to support Kaiser Bob era for too many games… rough. From Abe Lemons to Weltlich(sp?) was a horrible move. Our entire roster jumped ship after being in the top 5 when Mike Wacker’s knee exploded. 6 and 7 win seaaons… BAD. I forgot about Mike Wacker! … and George Mueller… Seriously though… Mike Wacker was a stud before his knee injury and that team was as good as any we have had when they were in full health. When Wacker went down we had the worst collapse of any team I can think of … Texas or otherwise. Wacker deserves serious consideration. He was also about the only player who stayed though he played on essentially one leg forevermore. -

Sean Miller is receiving very good feedback back from the AAU and coaching community in the state. I have little doubt he will do very well at Texas. Terrific coach, and very focused on goals with the opportunity to complete a resume in next 6-8 years -

Yes sir inducted in 1982. It is the basketball hall of fame so it encompasses college, pro, international etc contributions to the game. -
Was specifically related to the OPs list. He somehow listed his best players ever. It was the best players at Texas.

Travis Mays would have had a very good NBA career if not for the injuries. He may be my favorite ever because he came from Florida to a sorry team and brought it up from the ashes to create the most exciting version of Texas basketball ever with Blanks, Wright, Collie, Myers and the rest. -
Reggie Freeman, TJ Ford, KD, Tre Johnson

But the other side of the sword is that huge commitments of the revenue share is going to cause havoc to teams rosters. How will the starting left tackle feel about his backup pulling $1.7M per year? And with so much money going to one player it dilutes amounts available to other positions. Seems Sark and company get that and are being strategic. I also like the culture evaluations. As Bobby said, we may have dodged a bullet with the Ojo commitment.

Kaydon Finley Disrespects Texas before Selecting Notre Dame
Bevo92 replied to Bevo92's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Interesting to see the mix of comments on this topic. Surprised by a few. For me, this goes beyond football and the Kaydon Finley example is extremely minor overall. It was an observation about a moment that was disappointing and unnecessary, especially given his dad’s legacy. More broadly for me, It’s a commentary about doing things the right way. Representing yourself and your family with character and class. The Felix Ojo example was far more egregious and I’m extremely thankful that guy isn’t gonna be a Horn. For a few of you who’ve made incorrect assumptions about me, I feel this even stronger when a Texas longhorn crosses the line. Since Sark has taken over, it’s been refreshing to see the focus on character, doing things the right way, proving it on the field, “who you are some of the time is who you are all the time”. I hope Sark is the head of our football program for the next decade-plus. A much needed change because it wasn’t that long ago when Longhorns (Coaches, Administrators, Players) were definitely not doing things ‘the right way’. When Herman was our coach, I couldn’t stand the way he ‘led’ our team in such a classless, low character way. His lack of character, high ego, narcissistic self important mindset flowed down to some of the team and it was sickening. I posted about it at the time as did others, on other boards. The importance of representing yourself and the university with class. Winning is not all that matters. Back to the present day. Fired up and excited for our Horns. Great leadership, accountability, culture. Let’s keep it going. Hook em!! 🧡🐂🤘🏼 -
Kaydon Finley Disrespects Texas before Selecting Notre Dame
Jc Dobbs replied to Bevo92's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Growing up in a household likely full of burnt orange and a framed jersey with Daddy's and His last name on it... and surely Daddy watched Longhorns games on TV and pulled for Texas... I just know if it were me doing that, my (late) father would have made me pick up the cap and apologize to him and the coaches who recruited me for such classless behavior. This shows me that Texas potentially dodged a character bullet. Too bad he can't go back in time and play for Miami circa 1990-1991. I have to believe the ND staff were embarrassed. If this had been at A&M or OU, I "might" have understood it. But, it's an honor to represent Notre Dame and his actions are out of line with the character of the Irish. It's just a shame because his Daddy was a credit to the Longhorns. He must be embarrassed. -

Isn’t Slater Martin in the nba HOF? Did UT make the final four during his time at UT? Seems like Martin and KD should be leading the way followed by TJ and LaSalle. -
Okay I am assuming we are talking four. KD, TJ (Back to back players of the year), DJ and LA. Apologies to PJ, LaSalle, Mays, Mihm, and Turner I am amazed Turner is still not pissed at Barnes for only playing 16 minutes in his last game.

Met Kris Clack at the Summer League at UMass Boston back in the day. He had a shootout with spurs prospect Derrick Dial. Pretty cool but Red Auerbach sat two rows in front of me during that game. -
We live down on the coast and dogs that have anxiety getting on boats etc do well with pet CBD. Check out their site they may have something for pets.

Oh God. It’s Jordan, even if all of them played for Texas.
