85 Days Away! — Who Is Your Fav No. 85?
Blake Munroe replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I’m not going to lie… I wasn’t aware of him before this morning. I have a list Bobby created and then I do my own research as well to find more. That’s been the fun part. The last two days I’ve discovered two that weren’t on Bobby’s list and it’s been neat to learn about them. -

Mr.Stohlhandske will be 94 this year. Former All-American and a veteran, I have to vote for him out of respect and honor. He was a Baytown Lee graduate. One wonders where he is now? -
Texas v Texas Tech WCWS Game 2 - Let’s get it started!!
MikeH replied to Bevo92's topic in On Texas Football Forum
A quick scroll through her stats and it’s definitely not uncommon for her to pitch in three games in three days. However, she’s never gone the distance three straight games. Max innings pitched in a three day stretch this year is 17, so she’d be in new territory from an innings standpoint from the 4th inning on tonight. Tech is 4-2 in those “third games” though two of the four wins came against Kennesaw State and a mediocre BYU. OK State and Arizona State both hit well off her the third time around. Will be interesting tonight for sure. -

One of the announcers mentioned that she’d pitched three days in a row three times this season. However, they didn’t give any context as to how those outings went for her. I’d be curious to know that and how many of those came against the same team for all three games vs a regional or tourney set up. -

No it wouldn’t. Everything is grandfathered. And this season proves that canadys “fair market value” is worth it. Don’t even go there from that standpoint. -

We know there is less stress pitching softball but is there a fatigue level? I am assuming Canady pitched 3 games in a row quite often this season but not sure . Thinking that the advantage for us is we have talented hitters who have seen her in many at bats now. Hoping Kavan spins a shutout tomorrow . Won’t see the game going to my HS reunion. 55th my friends. -
This type of injury for a speed receiver like Stewart is extremely tough to come back to same level of elite speed. Can’t think of anyone who has done it. Jimmy Graham tore his patellar tendon in 2015 and was never the same/. Even when players return, they almost always lose their elite burst. Sucks for him and any athlete.

Forecast currently shows rain in the morning but dry by afternoon. Our much bigger issue tonight was all the sloppy issues fielding. Self inflicted loss tonight. -
Called the Pacers. Lol. What a game. Halliburton is so clutch. Props to Myles Turner and his team playing like one.

6 errors in two games. We're lucky to have an opportunity for a third game. -

Impressive for Canaday to pitch back to back complete games and get the win tonight. Hats off. Hopefully Kavan brings her best stuff tomorrow night and Canaday should show some fatigue. We hit her much better tonight. That said….I was thinking about the ‘pending’ final ruling on settlement of House -v- NCAA case after tonight’s game. I believe it would prevent the Sellers from ‘pay for play’ of $1m to Canaday next year, correct? How quickly will she or other players challenge the legality of the ruling as she clearly has proven she’s worth every penny and Texas Tech has easily benefitted by more than $1m from this transaction.
