  1. Past hour
  2. you seemed shocked about this
  3. Extremely well done!
  4. Sigh Gerry just won’t let me live my life
  5. It also helps that he’s humble and an all around good person.
  6. Talk about an inflated ego.
  7. You won't find anyone who loves the game of basketball as much as KD. He's what happens when elite skill meets elite work ethic while having a true passion for what he does.
  8. @Joe Zurais just what you would imagine in person
  9. Today
  10. The SEC and B1G share a lot of blame here. If they took the reins and led the establishment of a new college football or even college athletics framework, then they wouldn’t be in a situation where they’re reacting to Campbell.
  11. No matter how much money Cody Campbell has, if the SEC and Big 10 don’t go along and decide to make their own way, he will hit a brick wall.
  12. Lute got the monkey off his back by winning a surprise NCAA title (beating three # 1 seeds as a 4 seed) but he also lost as a # 2 seed to a 15 seed (Santa Clara featuring Steve Nash) and I think as a # 3 seed to a 14 seed and was widely considered an underachiever until he wasn't. Nine times he lost in the opening round, usually as the higher seed. But he did make four Final Fours ... In Phoenix the word was "never bet on Arizona in the tournament" lol. Miller is a very good coach, hopefully he gets on a tournament run at Texas at some point.
  13. Agreed.. As somebody who was burnt a few times taking Zona very far in brackets
  14. the "focusing on retention, fit, and multi-year stability" seemed to work for Uconn and Florida.
  15. Thanks for posting this video. For those of us who saw Earl play for the Longhorns and the Oilers it's a great trip down Memory Lane. I've been privileged because my Dad took me to see the Dallas Cowboys play the Cleveland Browns in the Cotton Bowl Stadium in the early 1960s and I saw the great Jim Brown. Bob Lilly, "Mr Cowboy" and Jim Brown played hard and then threw punches at each other to end the game. As I posted elsewhere on this thread, I was a student at Texas during Earl's days playing for Coach Royal. And I saw Earl play for the Oilers as a young man after graduating from UT in the "Luv Ya Blue" days in Houston. I watched Ricky Williams play for the Longhorns when I was a season ticket holder a few years later, and he was one of the best for Texas. My Dad and many others always said Jim Brown was the greatest. I was just a little kid back then, but I never question Jim Brown at the top. And Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams were right there with Brown. Bum Phillips said it didn't take long to call the Role of the greats, but Earl's name had to be called. Earl was a special player. Hook 'Em!
  16. OU is not their dominating, undefeated self, but they are still really good. Like most sports in this conference, on any given day anyone can get beat. In women hoops, Vandy killed us, only to get beat by Georgia the next game. We smashed Georgia tonight. You just have to bring it every game.
  17. Vintage Kevin Durant — effortless 40.
  18. Good framework. I’m most curious whether Texas Longhorns is intentionally avoiding top-end portal bidding wars and instead focusing on retention, fit, and multi-year stability — and what success looks like for that model. Also interested in how basketball-specific booster support factors in outside the Texas One Fund.
  19. I bet he's in the ball park, but don't know about hitting 4.20. That's such a running a perfect race number
  20. Conference play at home — doesn’t get much better. 🤘
