  2. People are dying in Kerrville, so Kaydon can do whatever he wants. Stay safe folks, and stay away from the Gonzalez area...it's going to get hit, too God bless
  3. Today
  4. Boone Powell (full name James Boone Powell) was a standout linebacker for the University of Texas Longhorns in the late 1980s and early 1990s before briefly entering the NFL. College Career at Texas Tenure: Lettered at UT from 1988 through 1991 . Position: Served as a key contributor on defense, primarily recognized at strong-side linebacker. 1990 Season Highlights: Known for his ability to penetrate the backfield, Powell recorded six tackles for loss, sharing duties with teammates like Shane Dronett, Brian Jones, and Anthony Curl.
  5. Zach Shackelford • Position: Offensive Lineman (Center) • Years at Texas: 2016–2019 • Notable Achievements: Shackelford was a multi-year starter at center, playing in 49 games with 34 starts. He earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors in 2018 and was a key part of the offensive line during Texas’ resurgence under coach Tom Herman, including the 2018 Sugar Bowl win over Georgia.
  6. Ken Gidney (1966–1968): A three-year letterman at center, noted in historical rosters for wearing #56. He played during Texas’ national championship era under coach Darrell Royal, contributing to the 1968 team.
  7. We are now 56 days away from the Horns vs the Buckeyes in Columbus. Who’s your favorite No. 56? Options today include… Zach Shackelford Boone Powell Ken Gidney
  8. Use to hear about this all the time. How Magic was the only player in the history of world versatile enough to play any position on the floor (1-5) and do it well enough to win a title while doing so. Now we have pencil goobers hammering us with analytics.
  9. Lakers sold for $10 billion. Highest price in history. Reminds me of Magic being the only rookie to ever win Finals MVP. Only point guard to ever play center in the NBA Finals. 42 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists in game 6 clincher when he was 20. Convinced head coach Paul Westphal to start him at center in place of injured Kareem.
  10. Dawson Battie…any relation to former Texas Tech player Tony?
  11. Appreciate this! Next couple of classes could be very exciting for Texas. Any word on the last roster spot that’s most likely going to be an International prospect this coming year for Texas?
  12. 300-305 IMO think Kelvin Beachum (6-3, 305) and Calvin Anderson (6-4.5, 305) with elite athleticism. Turntine is 6-3 5/8 with 81-82 inch wing span, 33 5/8 inch arms and 10 inch hands. He's a 600 pound squatter right now at 270 pounds. He's uber athletic and strong considering how much more weight/strength he will add to his frame.
  13. Does Texas Tech want any of them?
  14. He weighed 268 on OV to Texas in June. 270 at Stanford in June.
  15. I hope he freezes his a** off. Not gonna follow his career at all.
  16. Not watching but thanks Herry 😂😂🖕🏼🖕🏼
  17. Jeff Howe and I published an OnTexasBasketball video Friday. We had GASO's Blue Zertuche and Ryan Massad on to talk about top Texas targets in 2026 and 2027 Both of these guys are friends, and the entire GASO team truly does a great job covering and helping grow high school basketball in the state. They also run tournaments and events extremely well. We talk Austin Goosby, Bo Ogden, Bryson Howard, Dawson Battie, Marcus Spears Jr., Reese Alston and Ryan Hampton
  18. Nobody is left the staff gave up recruiting because it’s to hard 😂
  19. Have a story on that this morning
  20. Best of luck to Kaydon, I'll always be a fan of the Finley fam.🤘
