These Bowls are literally self deprecating

Rushing Name Q. Wisner RB C. Baxter RB J. Gibson RB C. Clark RB J. Simon RB There is your list by production... Gibson, Simon, Wisner likely gone...you have 2 coming in. Still minus 1 if that happens. Baxter has put it on the line and done everything he could to get back even though hes likely nowhere near 100%. Will he regain 100% of what he was?? 50 50 shot. Baxter would be the only back with substantial experience and hes likely to get better maybe even significantly so. It would be a very impatient approach to offload a back that could potentially be very productive, with no question about work ethic or how he fits with the team, and the only back with substantial experience. And if you gave me a shooter that only hit 20% but likely hits 50% the next year...you bet im keeping him around.

You have guys that are fighting until the very end of the season and hoping they can reach the national title, and probably devastated when they don’t make it (especially seniors) And then you find out you’ve been invited to: - The Pop Tart Bowl - The Cheez it Citrus Bowl - The Snoop Dog Bowl -The ReliaQuest Bowl It’s pretty embarrassing. And you have people all over social media making fun of you for it. You’re very unlikely to get credit for a win in the game. It is a far cry from the Rose Bowl, etc. Things that mattered. I’m happy Notre Dame looks like crap from opting out, but I think all of these teams deserve a little empathy for having to hold their heads up and face the noise in these self deprecating bowls

I can’t believe it, but Yurachek outdid himself

Dude I am actually left leaning at this point and dislike Trump quite a bit. Kamala was objectively a pretty avid purveyor of word salad, so on the topic of word salad I felt the reference was apt. I don’t bring it up, and when I see it I give it a quick react at max and move along with my day. A good way to make it a bigger part of the discussion board is to make it a bigger deal than it was rather than just rolling your eyes and moving on. -

I’ll never understand anyone that makes politics an actual part of their identity or maybe in this case it’s just good ole fashioned misogyny/racism. 5 people felt the need to endorse it as well. This country now. Sports used to be an escape… -
I just want Sark to keep and develop what he needs. I don’t want Texas missing out again. Win enough games they can’t keep us out. Also….start blowing teams out, Sark.
-
I'm pretty excited to see how he develops. Lots of upside for him and January. You add in the current Fr, Charles, Sharma and J.Terry. Not sure of Johnson sticks around but you could add another over the ball guy and another quality depth piece, if the price is right. Have a feeling that position/room could be really good next year. The small snippets I've seen from Terry have me pretty excited to see what he can do with more snaps.

Every player has a specific or narrowed $ value with the staff. That number obviously varies player to player. The staff knows what they'd be willing to allocate. Watson is only going to get better. Remember that. We can't afford to lose too many high floor DL.

25-26 Director's Cup Thread

Yep, and this has been the case over the years. Plenty of good men’s teams over the years, spread across all the men’s sports at times, but the consistently high performing teams have mostly been on the women’s side. Men’s swimming, golf and tennis probably the most consistent on that side of things. -

He didn’t produce this year at a high level but he’s still a young player and we need more big bodies with higher impact!

I'm not too worried, have a feeling there will be plenty of LB's to pick from this portal window. -

I actually like that Bama and OU play. I can live with either outcome: Bama win- first round exit for OU, undoes their biggest season accomplishment, possibly makes it look like a fluke depending on how bad OU win- makes it look even more like Texas was the better team than Bama Same for TAMU Miami: Miami win- first round exit for TAMU, 0-2 to end season, crying Aggies leaving Kyle Field Aggie win- makes it look like Texas was the better team than Miami I’m also happy that Oregon and Tech play- Daddy Warbucks #1 vs Daddy Warbucks #2. They deserve each other. Hopefully Nike U can send Raider Rash out crying. MOST IMPORTANTLY- I’m happy each of them have 2 opportunities to lose before playing one another (1 for Tech because of the bye). Would hate to see any of them play one another, because it would be like rooting for which testicle to have kicked. -
Bobby, uninformed or inaccurate stuff is a message board tradition. If you remove all that, what do we have left? I will never quite understand the mentality of fans wanting the program to push people out the door assuming they go about their business the right way. With NIL and the portal, things have shifted, but I’m not quite to that point. Obviously we can improve, but this team didn’t lose games because we were physically incapable. We simply did not make enough plays at the right time. We were far from healthy too and the schedule was the most difficult to navigate. I am woefully uninformed on NIL allocations and with that I cannot begin to discuss the proper moves regarding the roster. So I take the guys for who they are and their upside, which for many players that upside is realized over the years and not necessarily from year 1.
