Whole lot of folks on this board act like insiders, and try to spin what is clearly an awfully planned portal season. I don't know enough about it and the only one that probably does is Bobby. I doubt he will give us the actual facts out of respect to his connections but this team should have been positioned perfectly to make a run but all we get is more people leaving everyday. We have lost 25 players to the portal already and bringing in 23 freshman. I don't see the vast majority of portal entrants being forced out. If there isn't a whole lot of quality players entering very soon this team will be weaker then it was last year.

This was exactly my point. I wasn’t saying “it cures all” it just eases the pain of getting tier B/C lineman just to get bodies. People will be angry, but the addition of a Coleman will keep the casuals happy and the more diehards going full Alonzo mourning

That's exactly how I feel. These kids are comfortable where they're at. Now did they use Texas as leverage to get money from their own school? Possibly. I just refuse to believe the sky is falling on the 8th of January. Even with the losses, they still have a ton of talent (and they'll add more undoubtedly). I think there is some legitimate concerns with the assessments (especially from the OL side of things last year), but I also think there is a ton of worrying for worry sake.

Not moved by Texas "trending" for Coleman. Especially after the couple of days. The day he signs a contract to Texas is the day I'll get excited about it.

Any smoke on the NC State LB? Seems like a good player at a position of need.
