ZACH BARNETT MAR 26, 2024 Former Ole Miss cornerbacks coach Keynodo Hudson is expected to join the Texas staff as an analyst, sources confirmed to FootballScoop on Tuesday. Inside Texas first reported Hudson's hiring; Hudson was seen working with the Longhorn defensive backs during the first week of UT's spring practices. Hudson spent 2023 coaching Ole Miss's cornerbacks but was not retained after Lane Kiffin hired former Louisville defensive coordinator Bryan Brown as co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach. A West Virginia Tech graduate, Hudson has previously coached defensive backs at Western Kentucky, Illinois, and Florida Atlantic. Hudson was a defensive administrative assistant at USC from 2012-16, which overlapped with Steve Sarkisian's season and a half leading the Trojans. Texas has been looking for another set of eyes in the secondary. The Longhorns were previously set to bring former secondary coach Duane Akina back to Austin, but Akina opted to remain at Arizona upon the change from Jedd Fisch to Brent Brennan. Akina is now Arizona's defensive coordinator.
