    Ross Dellenger of Yahoo! Sports. The SEC and Big 10 have both been given a deadline of 9am tomorrow to give their support or not. As I wrote earlier today, some of the compromises made recently by the senate bill are moves in the right direction. But they are not complete concessions, which I believe is necessary to move this bill forward. What is the difference between a compromise and a concession? Forcing Texas to play Texas Tech or any other team, for example, is something that never should have been addressed in the bill in the first place. But somehow meaningful legacy pieces of it remain because of the idiocy of putting it in there in the first place. In other words, the start of this bill was so bad and so lopsided at the start that getting to any sort of real agreement was far fetched. Now, we wait to see the SEC and Big 10 response.     Tre Wisner is a good player. Hard nosed, tough as nails, reliable and dependable. Tre, however, is not a breakaway runner even though he's somewhat slight of build. Initially, Texas wanted to keep Tre and only take one RB from the portal. But Tre's agency asked for significantly more than what Texas perceived as market value. So the two did not agree to terms, he entered the portal, and then Texas started looking for two RBs in the portal. They identified Raleek Brown quickly and then circled back on Hollywood Smothers who had committed to Alabama from North Carolina State. Long story short, there's no disparagement of Tre Wisner around here. Is he perfect? No. But he was a damn good Longhorn when Texas needed him the most. He will be missed, even if his replacements may actually be better.

    That's incorrect. They never agreed to numbers. His agency started well above where Texas was.

    Guys, do not presume anything one way or the other. There have been those who have announced they were shutting it down and those who have said they are flipping. He’s clearly been torn on this for a while. Let him make his decision (or announce it) and don’t presuppose either way right now. We’ll keep you updated as appropriate.

    I personally think the season doesn’t end much different. The Texas defense was extremely bad that year and could not stop the run to save its life.

    The Vanderbilt game reached a boiling point IMO. The front and the secondary just wasn't playing together and there was some chaos on the sidelines.
