    I’ll do this for you: Jay’Vion Cole, corner from San Jose State, committed on Sunday. Damonic Williams, DL from TCU, committed to OU over Texas and LSU. Only Texas player in portal that late was Kendrick Blackshire, the LB from Bama. There’s a number of other recruiting moves but none that have resulted in a commitment yet.

    He needs a great summer of learning routes, the offense, etc. If he can be a sponge mentally and translate that to the field, he'll never have to worry about snap distribution -- at any level of football, college and pro included. Special physical talent.

    Texas lost back-to-back non-conference games to BYU, Maryland and Cal in the 2010s. Only won one game vs Ole Miss, vs Notre Dame and vs UCLA.

    Davison just felt like other rooms were more conducive to playing time. This was not a bid-off situation like Damonic Williams. Everybody was in the same neighborhood on Davison.

    There are not going to be many guys - if any - who did not play at least 200 snaps last year that the Horns have genuine interest in. Not to use a derisive term, but the Horns aren't really looking for sloppy seconds from anyone.
